Looking for some sugestions on this deck. I just recently came back to magic and played one tournament with this deck and placed 8th out of 21. I am not familiar with all the cards and just looking for some help. I see this deck having multiple game winners. One being the Valakut direct damage, two being the big creatures beating face, and three Koth's ultimate giving mountains the ability to ping. I know this deck is not an original idea, but I am trying to build around forcing the decision on to my opponent. I am running Koth because it forces the opponent to make a decision to focus on him, my creatures, or myself. If left uncheck, any of the three can get out of control. I am pretty familiar with the scars set, I came back with the pre release. I am not familiar with the previous Zendikar set and am looking for any advice to make this deck better. Thanks Tony

Expedition Map seems... bleh. Run something better like Avenger of Zendikar. Also, Summoning Trap is needed for the side board.

this is pretty much the best deck in standard (arguably). but definitly put Avenger of Zendikar in here. and summoning trap is a good sideboard option. last thing is that you should get rid of expedition map and make room for 2-3 growth spasm-it makes your titans come out a turn sooner

Should I take out the inferno titan for Avenger? I could take out map, 1 oracle, and run 3 Avngers and put in 3 growth spasms. Is that ok or should I run one less Koth and 4 avengers?
I don't think Koth or the Oracles are needed at all.
hihi. if you're also wanting to play casually with this, definitely grab 4x Sakura Tribe elder. the card's a powerhouse in a deck like this. probably drop the artifact and a couple of other things for Cultivate as well (which in turn is a functional reprint of Kodama's reach). cultivate or reach really work with explore and the oracle. hope these help. getting those lands out is fun =D.
also, upon consideration, i think cultivate is better in this deck than harrow. harrow nets you an additional one land (and effectively untaps two lands) for 3 mana. cultivate can net you two (one tapped, one untapped) in a single turn, which can really bring the pain in the late game. i guess it needs testing to be sure about the way both cards affect the deck.

Cultivate is better than Harrow here, overall you'll gain more card advantage, and having a Harrow countered means you just LOST one net land instead of gained. Though to be honest I would prefer either over the Heart Expedition, on the off chance you get a mana screw that's simply a dead card, while either Harrow or Cultivate would help you out in that situation. Also, don't really see how Koth fits, I would think a set of Llanowar Elves and/or Birds of Paradise would do a lot better at accelerating you out of the start. Here is what I would do: -1 Expedition Map -4 Khalni Heart Expedition -4 Koth -1 Harrow +4 Birds of Paradise +2 Avenger of Zenidkar +4 Cultivate
Our Decks are kind of similar this is what i am running and it seems to do me well... http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=102148
I agree with adding Avenger and dropping Oracle and a couple of the Inferno titans. I know it's random but I play Acidic Slime to get rid of enchantment, artifact, or Tectonic edge. It drops the turn before your titan and can draw out a counterspell. Birds are great for acceleration.
