Deck Description

I have a question about the wording on the effect of Ichorclaw myr. "Whenever Ichorclaw Myr becomes blocked, it get's +2/+2 until the end of turn." So If I attack with Ichorclaw myr, and someone declares a blocker with, say... vampire nighthawk, and I respond by playing Go for the Throat on the nighthawk, does it get the +2/+2 until the end of turn, and thus deal three poison counters to the defending player? Or did it never technically become blocked?

It becomes blocked, but the damage doesn't go through.

How would it work if the myr had trample from some other effect?

why doesn't the damage go through? If I use go for the throat on the nighthawk, then wouldn't the myr attack the player?

With trample, it definately get's the +2/2, that is why I love that card, but i was just thinking that it might be even better than imagined.

If it's declared a blocker, even if the blocker is removed the creature is declared blocked. Therefore it would not hit the player. If there was trample, the creature would do full damage to the player.

Indeed- in essence you could think of it like being blocked by a 0/0
