Deck Description

Started out trying to create an anti-infect deck as infect is all the rage at the moment at my FNM. Noticed that Melira prevented creatures from gaining -1/-1 which meant when a creature persist died, it come back but couldn't have -1/-1 put on it. Immortal creatures... interesting

Then I stumbled across Phyrexian unlife. All damage becomes poison counters but with Melira out you can't gain poison counters. Immortal player ... interesting.

At this point I had to create a deck.

How to Play

- Drop Melira (she'll either be in your hand or you'll have time of need to search for her)
- Protect her (ideally with alpha authority or the mask)
- Drop Ideally phyrexian unlife.
- Play as many persist creatures as you have got and swing wildly with them (cackling required) after all they can't kill you. [Well unless the kill Melira, or kill the enchantment or mill you to death or ....]
Use time of need to pull out other legendaries as required.

Deck discussion for The Price of Immortality

Any thoughts? I'm generally happy with the concept but not sure if I'm going the right way about keeping Melira alive or if my legendaries are really that well suited (looking at you Karametra). Be nice to profit from the repeated deaths, thought possibly guttergrime?

Karametra activates when you cast a creature, not when it enters the battlefield. Ephara does, but that would mean splashing blue...

Karametra removed, sapling of colfenor added. Suits deck flavour and helps to draw cards.
