Deck Description

I have been playing with this deck for a little bit and just recently went 4-0 at Game Day.

I beat the "new" Caw blade 2-1
U/G Infect 2-1
G/B Midrange 2-0
Vampires 2-0

This deck isn't invincible though, just like any other deck.
It's difficult to beat Valakut and also Caw-blade is a tough match up.

RDW I haven't tested it out, but I have a feeling that could be a tough match up with the fast speed of it.

Counter Package:
4 Mana Leaks
3 Spell Pierce
2 Stoic Rebuttal

9 counter spells have been working great and the 2 Stoic Rebuttals help a ton in the late game!

MVP: Blade Splicer
Venser was rocking it all day with the Blade Splicer if you know what I mean :P EXTREMELY helpful during the infect battle.

MIGHT CHANGE:

I am thinking about adding Emeria Angel to help with the Caw-Blade matchup and bounce a land for more bird tokens. -1 Mana Leak, +1 Emeria

Maybe -1 Frost Titan, +1 Consecrated Sphinx for that other big guy. Frost Titan was nice, but you always want to keep your hand full

Just seeing what you guys think and thanks for looking!! :)

Deck discussion for 4-0 Venser Control

Hmm, I've always liked exclusion ritual...costly but overpowered ring, I think so. I'm thinking that might handle valakut a little bit.

I was thinking of that too, and it would great too...hmm...well my meta keeps changing a LOT! but most of my meta is aggro so that's what I have trouble with the most so my deck needs to be fast but controlling....I don't like caw blade either lol

Interesting deck. I don't really know what to think about it. It nearly seems defenseless until you get out a Gideon or Titan. Though I suppose Day of Judgment is very helpful. How do you win if you lose a titan or some planeswalkers?

The meta at my FNM is constantly changing as well. One week its all goblin and next week its Valakut running rampant. Suddenly its equipment decks. It keeps things fresh though.

I have the Celestial Collanade, Blade Splicer with Venser, Venser, Gideon Beatdown, Titans. A few ways to win. Just need to control the game until one of them pop up :)

I really like the deck. I would suggest working in two stonehorn dignitaries into the deck. With vensor and stonehorn, you can seriously lock them down and protect you and your planeswalkers.
