Combo/Control deck commanded by Oona! The deck is a work in progress and all feedback is appreciated. From the reading I've done, Oona as a commander works better in a combo/control shell than a tribal one, which is why so few faeries are included. This is the direction I'd like to take the deck. Pure control + mill + faerie token beatdown!
I had a chance to play-test this deck recently and it performed fantastically! Control the game with 14 counterspells (15 if you include Glen Elendra Archmage) while you ramp up with mana rocks, tutor for key cards, and remove big threats. Drop down Oona and at the end of an opponent's turn put as much mana into her ability as possible to mill them out and amass faerie tokens! Cards like Coat of Arms buff these tokens and create a menacing board presence. A variety of counterspells and swiftfoot boots/lightning greaves can be used to protect your general to ensure her ability resolves. The deck has 3 primary ways to win:1) faerie token beatdown2) mill your opponent out3) or both when you have Basalt Monolith, Rings of brighthearth, and some spare mana to activate an infinite mill/token generation combo!
