Deck Description

B/R devotion with multiple win conditions. Would love to hear any feedback and some suggestions! Try to run the board with pack rat early, while getting a Hammer and Purphoros in play. Once you get those in play then start dropping Desecration Demon, Cacklers, Loyalists and Hammer tokens along with triggering Mutavault for added battalion effect while doing damage with Purphoros.

Deck discussion for Chewbacca Defense

I would mainboard 4 stormbreath dragons. Also I would find room.for erebos and his whip somewhere.

I would like to run Stormbreath main board, and I could definitely use the card draw from Erebos. I just don't know what to change because I like the ability to have Purphuros in play mid game with a hammer so i can manufacture damage with tokens and 1 drop loyalists and cacklers. all while being able to all out attack with loyalist battalion effect against elspeth tokens.

fanatic of mogis seems bad here. game 1 the most devotion you are likely to have is 3-4 when you cast it...not bad, but there are better things to do with 4 mana..

I've thought about main boarding Mogis, which might be what I end up doing insted of Fanatic.

Mogis would probably be a better fit. Fanatic just seems awkward here, with so few red mana symbols

South Park is my favorite show of all time. In between playing Magic all weekend, I've been playing The Stick of Truth. So damn good and funny.

Made a few changes, took out the Fanatic and Gray Merchant and added 2 Mogis and 2 Devour Flesh. Depending on match-up i could potentially run Mogis Erebos and Purphoros in the same game against control.

I'm not sure Pack Rat is the most efficient card for you here. You're paying 3 mana and discarding a card (with no way to get it back) to get a token and do 2 points of damage with Purphoros. I'd maybe replace them with Spike Jesters. Still only two casting cost and a 3/1 with haste is going to get into your opponents face way faster. That or add some direct damage burn spells like Shock or Lightning Strike.

If you really want it to be just about getting creatures on the board to win with Purphoros's ability you need to pile the creatures in by comboing him with a mass token generator like Abhorrent Overlord or Master of Waves.

Very true. I really just have Purphuros there as an alternate win condition and to give my opponent something else to consider d-sphering or getting rid of. Spike Jester would definitely be more efficient than Pack Rat for sure. I'm still trying to tweak it and see what really works and what slows me down. Thanks for the comment.
