So last night was my first ever standard tournament and I quickly slapped this deck together and it worked fairly well. Usually I avoid infect but with them being such a common sight I figured I would try. Easy enough concept get out a plague stinger or an Imp and hit it with vines of vastwood or groundswell and your swinging for 5 flying poison early.Went fairly easy on the equipment only using darksteel due to how cheap it is.I mainboarded viridian corrupter to help with artifact removal and on the sideboard put naturalize and doomblade usually putting in one or the other by game 2.The only thing that gives me trouble so far is sword of feast of famine but with my corrupter and my natures claim in the sideboard they normally do not bother me for long. With this being my first infect deck any comments would be greatly appreciated!

It seems like no one has ever really noticed the effect of pumping up infect creatures, I really like this. You've done a pretty good job for "slapping this together". Nice job!

LOL..... I hope you are joking! The first idea about B/G infect was creature pump. You deserve to be slapped.
Really? I have not seen a single B/G infect deck that had one pump spell except this one . . . if any other people see this comment, please tell me if you've seen an infect deck with pump spells to ensure me that my eyes do or do not decieve me.
http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=159832. It is a blue/black version focused on creature pump. Maybe use virulent swipe? Instead of darksteel axe maybe nim's death, antle to give the hydra intimidate?
Very nice. My friend runs a deck similar to this and his is really effective. He has blight mambas in there though. You could also do without a lot of the infect creatures that you're using now. Also, the deck needs more pump spells. I like the vines but it doesn't need the groundswells. Use the pumps that have rebound like Prey's Vengeance and Virulent Swipe. Also add livewire lashes. It is a very underplayed card in my opinion, and works great with infect creatures since they deal damage in the form of -1/-1 counters Here is his deck list http://magic.tcgplayer.com/db/deck.asp?deck_id=796839
