Deck Description

The first draft of a standard creature control deck, please leave suggestions for improvement.

No matter the creature, if it can't defend what it needs to, when it needs to, your game is going to go badly. So force your opponent to block what you want and they don't.

Swing hard with huge monsters that elude defenses while bait creatures keep them busy.

How to Play

A straight forward and simple deck.

Turns 1-3/4: Play scary critters and ramp.
Turn 4/5 and on-wards: Get out big creatures and block control.

Deck discussion for Do you even Block?

The mana curve it's pretty high, what about some Phantom Warrior?

I thought about him, but with a bit of sideboarding I could play Aqueous Form on Kiora's Follower if I really need the early damage or hold off till later and have an unblockable Nessian Wilds Ravager.

Ah and also, if you like big creatures, well Stormtide Leviathan it's right for you, isladn-walk and other lands are islands, good fun.

I would use him but it's not standard right now, maybe if we see a M15 reprint.

Removed Bident of Thassa, one Noble Quarry, and moved Kiora's Followers to sideboard to streamline the deck.
Added and additional Courser of Kruphix and an Ordeal of Nylea for additional ramp and defense.
Added 3 Colossal Whale for removing problem creatures.

Removed Arbiter of the Ideal from the sideboard due to overall lack of the untap mechanic in the deck.
Removed Elvish Mystic from the sideboard due to under-performance beyond turn 4.
Added 3 Fade into Antiquity to the sideboard to handle gods.
