what i like about this deck is i only need 2 lands to play everything in this deck, and almost regardless of my draw i'll be able to easily deal 40+ damage by turn 5,

that is really solid, the Ballyrush Banneret works incredibly well with the Daru Warchief

it is just unfortunate that it will not reduce the cost of the plains requirement of the soldiers

:\ i don't know i like mine more granted you have more creatures and a little quicker too but benalish commander and preeminent captain with a militia's pride on the field can smack people up good i like the chrome mox though thats nasty first turn ballyrush banneret anyone?

its not that the cards in your deck aren't strong or anything of that sort, its simply that this deck is so far overkill the cards that you mention either a) are uneeded or b) never even get to be played

Try solitari foot soldier. With your deck's speed, that's probably close to 10 unblockable damage by turn 5 from him alone if you get him first turn.

probably in many cases better then elite vanguard; however i've yet to need something that gets through defenses as these soldiers destroy all defense, and still have enough units that can't be blocked to kill my enemy

Very true. Preeminent captain to Captain of the watch is deadly

leyline of sanctity and silence just allows me to deal with most things heavy creature decks can't

I think the leyline works great in this deck

have you ever thought of side boarding the revoke existence and putting in some coat of arms. it would make your critters huge and make those intrepid hero broken

i use to play with coat of arms; however i've played a game that i'd it, and most games i never make it to 5 mana before i win with this deck anyways; if i wanted to sideboard my revoke existence iw ould put in 3 master warcraft to make my soldiers unblockable but even then.. its just not needed, so revoke existence allows me to perform extremely well in all case scenarios

If this is a 1v1 deck, I'd bounce out the silence and replace it with an Orim's chant. Basically the same thing, but you have the option to let them attack or not. Pretty much skipping their entire turn. Well rounded deck though, good job.

orim's chant is better then silence, it just haven't put the money into orim's chant, where as i have all these cards listed

Hey man, I'm sorry to Be putting this in your comments, but there isn't really a way to message you on here so i didn't know how else to do it. I rethought the color scheme of that deck we were talking about recently. I worked it out to a more tempo control deck with a similar win condition. I have it up and i was wondering if you could take a look at it and let me know what you think. I ordered cards for it, i already had most of them so it worked out. alright cool well thanks man. talk to you soon,

i took a look at it; and i like what i see, it doesn't have a definite, i play these cards i win, but its much more stable and much more reliable for most played games

martial coup is a great card, but its sadly much to slow for this deck; i wanted to use it, same with coat of arms

I like it. Not a bad build at all.

The only issue I see is a lot of reliance on Chrome Mox to get your power creatures out by turn 3 or 4. But then, at the same time, you did a lot of workup with the Bannerets and Warchiefs.

I'd love to have the opportunity to face a deck like this one with my own soldier deck! (http://mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=131673)

well, its built for not having chrome mox, i should put 3 more in my deck, but i simply don't have 3 more, i don't rely on getting it at all, its simply a nice benefit to get it

My friend uses the same deck except instead of leyline/mox he uses rebuff the wicked.
I would never play a soldier deck because I have self respect.

its a great card to toss for chrome mox; and i'm really just too lazy to use a sideboard with this deck

0

See also my deck,it is a soldier and tell me your opinions. If I were you I would remove all the spells and use enchantments which will make soldiers stronger or some spells to give them protection for a final attack

the soldiers in this deck are quickly too strong to deal with, silence should NOT be removed, for a quick game deck, silence is really poewrful and borderline broken, the only other spell i would use, is sideboard my revoke existance if i'm not fighting an artifact/enchantment deck (another spell with no reason at all to be cut) and drop in master warcraft; i don't need to give my soldiers protection, because silence does a much better blanket protection

the one negative to silence is that they can respond to it, but yes you are right about silence.... broke card
