all the decks i have posted (except the black eldrazi one) are decks i actually have; simply haven't ordered the cards to fix this one up
kor haven is a good card you could also try a >< cant remember what its called exactly but the white hideaway land from lorwyn ummm martial coup? its costly but getting a day of judgement plus 5+ soldier tokens is just oh so sweet to not use it lol
windbrisk heights requires attacking, i'm slowly working this to a creature less extract deck, and martial coup brings this in a creature direction, when i'd rather have just better or faster extraction
hmm if you plan on making it that way then why not use duress/inquisition of kozileck?
then i'd have to rework leyline of the void to keep the graveyard empty; though not a bad suggestion i'll have to playtest if its worth it
so im guessing by your deck that it was worth it?
yep, its a great first turn card, and the land card that exiles the graveyard got rid of that concern, nice suggestion thanks for getting me to think in that direction
this is my favorite deck you own. so sick man sincerely i love it, all of the cards are great. i don't remember the name for the card but there is an older black version for Journey to Nowhere. it might take some digging, but its worth looking into. the only question i have about this deck is how come you aren't using duress instead of Inquisition of Kozilek? also another great card to consider is shimian specter, all though i must admit im not sure where you would find room to fit it in because this deck list is already so soild.
Duress can't target creature cards, or i would, thats what makes inquisition better
i like that creature alot, however i want to avoid creatures at all cost, except my 4 artifact creatures, but thats because they are broken lol
completely understandable. man i want to see this deck in action so bad. i feel like it leaves your opponent with zero options
Haunting Echoes for when cards actually end up in their graveyard? Memoricide is a fantastic sideboard card since you can swap it in and use it to take out specific playsets important to the deck (once you know how their deck works)
haunting echoes is not worth the mana cost for its effect in comparison to identity crisis and the land, however memoricide is a great suggestion, however i don't like the mana cost, i'll test it out
looks pretty great! vindicate is an insane black/white card, but doesn't exile so i can see why you might not wanna use it, also its crazy expensive. maybe more journey to nowhere instead of the pillory of the sleepless, and what about path to exile?
pillory of the sleepless is virtually my only win condition so i can't really remove that card, and i don't like the enemy mana acceleration of path of the exile, especially with the decks i regularly fight; good suggestions though
sadistic sacrament can be your win condition, it would just stink if you ended up playing a creaturless deck or one with very few creatures, or a way to bounce their own creatures. imo, pillory is this decks weakest link. but either way, i really like this deck alot ^_^
if i'm fighting creatureless i just sideboard my pillory and put in my memoricide; though on that note i should sideboard elixir of immortality so avoid my own deck death
i think with just one kicked sad sac your opponent would deck before you, and you have 4 to play!
caves of koilos, tainted field, fetid heath
don't like caves of koilos because of long term, if i drop in 4 tained fields i'd only have 2 swamps making it virtually useless most games,.. however fetid heath.. thats what i was looking for, thanks
heres a really handy website i found ^_^ http://www.magicdeckvortex.com/visual_spoilers_lands_dual_color_lands.htm
thank you for that, its going to save me a massive amount of time in the near future
of course, i was so psyched when i found that site! ^_^
Marsh Flats
another front page deck, way to go!!
yay i can get half attention on both decks lol
and Thoughtseize ;)
inquisition of kozilek is good enough, and i don't need more first turn, but great card
What's the win condition in this deck then? :S
pillory of the sleepless to very slowly kill them, or slowly mill them with sadistic sacrament if they are a spell deck
How did this deck do in the past??
i don't completely understand the context of this question; this deck does extremely well if you get the early game control against the opponent, red direct damage decks are really the only threat it can have, and i should sideboard some removal for leyline of sanctity;
Hey, I'm not really familiar with all the cards here, and am too lazy to read them all, lol. So what's the win condition? :S
milling through time and sadastic sacrament, or slowly making them lose health due to pillory of the sleepless
I don't see much of hurting the other player in life loss or even game loss, unless your plans are just to piss him off through his whole deck. I would toss in some unblockable creatures (or even creatures with shadow or a flyer deck), hell any creatures to do some damage for a quicker game would work, other then that you have the start for a very good deck going, another idea while you are getting rid of there stuff save up some lands and hit them with a Drain Life or Consume Spirit.
on the 2 cards you suggested, you can only spend black mana on the effect, and 2ndly there isn't much hurting the opponent, its not a question about winning completely its about control, and having the slight advantage to win; the unfortunate part of this deck is i don't have 4x vindicate, but i'm not buying it
Orzhova, the Church of Deals. I ran a BW control and won many games with it, slow but steady. Leech Ridden Swamp is good if you had more permanents. I'd highly suggest some Phyrexian Areana's. Painful Quandary may be a good finisher for ya too. I'd even go as far as a couple Cursed Land.
all those cards are good, but at the same point, they just increase the rate that i can win at, not help the win, and i'm not one that cares much about speed

i liked the idea but its too slow and unreliable for me. here's my shot at BW control http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=144774
through castigation inquisition of kozilek and sadistic sacrament it becomes very easy to draw the needed cards and control the game early; if things get out of control i have board clears; i like slow i don't see the disadvantage to winning over a longer period of time then risking going quickly and getting a lost due to a slipup
What do you have to win? I don't see nothing really useful to end your opponent. Also, you can't have 16 cards on sideboard.
i think this deck is more about pissing people off lol
pillory of the sleepless and sadistic sacrament is what i use to win; it isn't quick, but it is very effective and reliable; i am aware you can't have more then 15 cards in the sideboard, but im actually just using the sideboard tool to keep track of cards i may want to put in the deck or cards i cut from different reviews of this deck
Well, I prefer you to see by yourself how can so many decks win you so easily that giving you tips what should I do against your deck.
could you rephrase that statement; i'm unable to decipher it. i'm not making fun of you or whatever, i'm just having trouble figuring out what your point is, and certain sentence elements of it

i ended up making that deck mono colored http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=143531
Where's the win condition?
death due to pillory of sleepless, or milled through sadistic sacrament
I'm actually very surprised You're not running Extirpate for those cards that DO hit the graveyard. Since you're not running Leyline of the Void or Nihil Spellbombs, Extirpate could act as a cheap Memorcide. :D
