This deck uses the "Birthing Pod" to upgrade creatures from X CMC to (X+1) CMC.You can sacrifice a creature and upgrade to the next level up. Continuing this theme, you'll eventually hit the top most creature: Sheoldred, Whispering one - who's just badass!!All creatures in this deck are pretty much one of's, as you can easily retrieve them using the birthing pod. Think of this deck as a toolbox full of utility creatures that can be retrieved based on the circumstances.Based on the Pod Primer from http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showthread.php?t=393031Key combos include:o Using Glissa, the traitor for artifact recursion from the graveyard (e.g. Pods, Ratchet Bomb, Wurmcoil Engine, Solemn Simulacrum, Perilous Myr, etc)o Using the Sun Titan to return Ratchet Bomb, Skaab Ruinator, Glissa, etco Sacrificing Undying creatures to pod to a new creature, then using hex parasite to remove the +1/+1 countero Phyrexian Metamorphing an undying creature which then allows you to create a copy of a new creature when it dies (as it has undying) with an additional +1/+1 countero Storing Skinrender or Acidic Slime in the Mimic Vat to then go onto a creature/land massacre rampage.o Giving all creatures undying with Mikaeus the unhallowedo Podding to the ultimate creature: Sheoldred, the Whispering one and then subsequently returning your Sun Titan, which returns an additional permanent (instant bring an army back to life)This deck is FUN, FUN, FUN!!It's very versatile and beats many decks easily !Note: The only slight downside to this deck is the inclusion of the Skaab Ruinator which uses blue mana to cast. If this card is ever drawn, then you end up with a dead card in your hand. But, I personally think that he's the BEST creature card at 3 mana card in existance as he has flying and is a 5/6. For that small risk, it's worth the risk of drawing him!
Turn 1:- Birds of ParadiseTurn 2:- Birthing Pod (paying 2 life to pay the phyrexian green mana cost)Turn 3:- Play Phyrexian Rager (draw a card)- Sacrifice Phyrexian Rager (paying 2 life to pay the birthing pod cost) and upgrade to a SkinRender (which kills something when it enters)Turn 4:- Play the Mimic Vat- Sacrifice Skinrender to the Birthing pod and upgrade to a Morkrut Banshee (which kills something when it enters)- Store the Skinrender in the Mimic VatTurn 5:- Sacrifice the Morkrut Banshee to the Birthing Pod and upgrade to a Sun Titan.- Store the Morkrut Banshee in the Mimic Vat.- Return the Phyrexian Rager from the graveyard to the battlefield and draw a card.- Pull the Morkrut Banshee out of the Mimic Vat killing an opponents creature.Turn 6:- Attack with the Titan (return something from the graveyard).- Sacrifice the Sun Titan to the Birthing pod retrieving Sheoldred, the Whispering one.Turn 7:- Return the Sun Titan to the battlefiend (using Sheoldred's upkeep trigger).- The Sun Titan returns a 3 drop or less creatures too- OH MY GOD!!!
