Fog Bank is really out of place and Yew Spirt isn't that great-2 Fog Bank-3 Yew Spirt-1 Alpha Authority-1 Mizzium Skin+4 Strangleroot Geist+1 Farseek+2 RancorIt's a pretty cool deck, if you wanted to invest money into then obvious cards to look at are Huntsmaster of the Fells and Thragtusk
Alot of the big decks at my FNM are UWx Control, I found that when playing these decks Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker was a godsend. I brought him down and if they couldn't answer it then I got to destroy detention spheres, rest in peace and nevermore. I did make the stupid mistake of forgetting about the Detention Shere that had my Sorin under it once. I added more Detention Spheres and Negates at the expense of Tragic Slip which I was never using - I have no way to Destroy a Creature to enable Morbid. Tormod's Crypt got put into the Sideboard to handle other reanimate decks and Burning Vengeance decks.
Take out two Judges Familiar (You won't be casting them often on turn one as 8 of your lands come into play tapped) for Two more Bonds of Faith, it's a really good card for this deck, doubling as a pacifism too. Knight of Glory is another good card for this deck.
+2 Trostani, Selesnya's Voice +2 Slime Moulding -2 Ajani, Caller of the Pride -2 Growing Ranks (Trostani is better)
Drop the 4 Typhoid rats for 4 main board blood artists Move a mizzium mortars to the side board Add a 4th tragic slip to the main board I would lose all the conjurer's closet and one gem of becoming too
Great Furnace is banned in Modern otherwise I would be using a lot more than one of them :P
I did have thought scours in the original list, but Forbidden Alchemy works a lot better, as I can try to make sure the creatures end up in the grave with it. I would love to put detention spheres in here, but I don't have the kind of money I need for things like that. Tribute to hunger I could use though, to kill those Geist of Saint Trafts.
The Necropolis Regent isn't really needed, his triple black is completely the opposite direction to all your dragon's costs. I would take it out for a 4th Murder.
Chandra isn't a good Plainswalker (Red never gets good Plainswalkers :( ), I would drop her for something else, Incindiary Command maybe?
Although Guttersnipe could be useful in this deck I can't really afford to lose out on any lands if I want to make sure I have enough mana to cast Nicol Bolas
-4 Desecration Demon +4 Bloodline keeper -2 Liliana of the Veil +1 Sorin, Lord of Innistrad +1 Killing Wave
http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=367428 Have a look at this if you get five minutes spare please.
I know how bad it is I have tried to use it in several different decks, with how small most of the fliers you will play against are (Lingering Souls, Drake Tokens, Delver) You can afford to take incinerate instead, this gives you about a million more things you can kill with it, even decks full of fliers (Black Vampires) only have small creatures, try Incinerate over Thunder Bolt, you will like what happens. If you won't do that then at least take out Searing Spear for Incinerate, they do the exact same thing but you can't regenerate from Incinerate.
Thunderbolt sucks, conditional incinerate? No thank you. Put in something else, anything else.
Drop two Balefire Dragon, if you want to draw a particular hand having 60 cards gives you more chance of drawing it.
