This is a deck concept I had a while ago. I liked the idea of having a deck that builds a lot of mana, and originally it was a mono green. The I realized, why build a LOT of mana when I could build INFINITE mana?The key cards are Axebane Guardian and Freed from the Real: by having these two and any other defender you are able to get any amount of mana of any color, and you are able to do so in turn 3 in optimal conditions
Optimal turns- First turn: Land, Birds of Paradise- Second turn: Land, Axebane Guardian- Third turn: Wall of Vines, Freed from the Real, profit ;)Ending cards- Blue Sun's Zenith: the quickest way to end the match as soon as you have infinite mana, and a good way to draw some cards for you if you're out of cards in your hand- Helix Pinnacle: when you play it as soon as you get infinite mana you must wait your next turn to win: however you can play this on your first turns so that it is less likely for it to be counteredOther- Staff of Domination is an alternative way of getting infinite mana: just slam an Axebane Guardian or Overgrown Battlement and four other defenders and you're ok (with Overgrown Battlement you will only have infinite GREEN mana). In addition you can use it with your infinite mana to draw until you get your ending card- Drift of Phantasms probably will never be cast as a creature, because its transmute ability lets you get any of the combo cards (they all have CMC 3)
