I've been playing with this deck since ~2009, and it is one of my favorites to break out in casual 1v1! While it does poorly against super fast decks, this can usually hold it's own once it gains any amount of momentum. It plays well against land destruction thanks in part to (1) Llanowar Elves, and (2) Kodama's Reach. The amount of saps this deck can produce, when it is played well anyway, is simply astounding! If your opponent gives you any sort of time to start amassing your army, they're sorely mistaken.
Try to pull Llanowar Elves, Uktabi Drake, or Thornweald Archer in your first hand. The drakes work well for first-turn damage, and the elves always work well.Mana won't be hard to come by if the deck works as it's supposed to, but if it doesn't, Kodama's Reach pulls a ton.Play Sprout Swarm only if you can pay the buyback. If you can't, make sure it's really worth it.Of course, drop your Thallids and Doubling Season as quickly as possible for maximum effect.Thallid Shell-Dweller + Verdant Embrace = A pain to remove with damage alone, which means more saps on the field.Overrun when you know you have lethal.Verdeloth the Ancient when you can kick him.Evolution Charm because it's simply amazing.
