Deck Description

While trying to build a janky deck around Pir and Toothy, I found a little gem called Descendant of Masumaro, and instantly changed directions.

The goal here is to get tokens onto Descendant double-time using Doubling Season, since they don't get removed as quickly from the cards in your opponent's hand.

Bramblewood Paragon to give everything trample. Tireless Tracker for card draw and counters, and the rest of the creatures are +1/+1 fiends that will only get bigger with Doubling Season and Scales. Curse of Predation to make creatures even bigger. (Although since it's not Modern legal, you'll have to find something else to put in there to take it's place. Forced Adaptation is in the SB area for this reason, as that's what I'd choose)

Contentious Plan for a proliferate and card draw experience. Heroic Intervention to protect my big baddies, and Bow to make my opponent think twice about his blockers.

Basic Modern landbase. Thoughts are appreciated.

Deck discussion for Descendant Counters

Looks fun, and like it'd be a bear to play against.

I haven't proxy'd it out to play-test it yet, so it's all just theoretical at the moment. But I do believe it may suffer from early-game board presence. Against a well-oiled tribal deck, this is going to suffer. But if given the opportunity to build up a little momentum, I think it could be pretty nasty. Thanks!

It'd be a solid partner in a 2 headed giant deck.
