I made a deck with the same concept, trust me, lessen the amount of spells, add some creatures, people will get smart to this concept fast, it ends badly, token creatures make great cannon fodder, other than that, focus more on the draw/discard/damage.

I have fogs, damnation, darkness, and starstorm sideboarded if I go against creature decks.

and the reason why I'm not basing it only around 2 or 3 cards is those could be extirpated and I'll have no way of winning.

Power Nine... Just make sure you take those out before a tournament.... Good deck, though!

Nevermind. You used Time Walks and Dark Rituals anyway. Forget what I said. Except the good deck part.

Type 2 is the newest core set (currently 10th edition), the 2 newest expansion sets (lorwyn, morningtide) and (futuresite), the newest iceage set (coldsnap). Type 1 is anything from Alpha to Morningtide.

I think many of you reading this list are missing the point, this deck does not need creatures because it plays in a near format that does not play creatures. Vintage only plays a small handful of creatures, not many of those are actually used for attacks and are simply used for their abilities.
