I was looking through M15 and I realized all the good Sliver cards they introduced, such as Diffusion Sliver, Sliver Hivelord, and Sliver Hive. Using these I put together this deck, which I hope I can use competitively in Modern. I'm always looking to improve it. I have gotten it to the point of a consistent turn 4-8 kill.
Well I have completely revamped the deck. Anyway, Collected Company and Aether Vial were added in as well as Mutavault. Mutavault makes real gains being able to buff off of slivers, and also helps against board wipes. Collected Company and Aether Vial are just strong when you get them (I hope to get one more Company soon.) Overall this deck, looks similar to many modern tourney sliver decks that are played. The only difference may be the addition of Adaptive Automaton and Homing Sliver. Overall, the Automaton fits our curve well, and gives our slivers buff. It basically fills the role Muscle Sliver would fill in a Legacy Sliver Build, albeit costing one more (but that prevents total shutdowns from Chalice of the Void. ) Homing Sliver is a seriously underrated card. Slivercycling for 3 may sound like a lot, but being able to find exact slivers you need is really nice to have. Sideboard is still a mess, but I hope to keep improving it. Sidenote: Sliver Hivelord and Sliver Legion must remain forever!!!!!!!!

Awesome! I had thought to make a deck like this but hadn't gotten around to it. If I find the time, this will definitely be an inspiration.

Note: Aether Vial used to be in the deck; however, I found that Adaptive Automaton works much better. The only issue with Vial in a deck like this is that because you are rushing out creatures, your hand can usually sit empty and Aether Vial will do nothing. Collected Company will be much better in the deck, as it digs down in our deck and gives us more options when we exhaust our hand. My hope is that Collected Company will give the deck a consistent turn 4-5 kill.
I agree with your comment about AEther Vial. However, it's big benefit is it gets around control decks since they cannot counter your slivers. How about replacing 1 Manaweft Sliver with a Gemhide Sliver? Does the same thing but it gets around Jund and Junk's Maelstrom Pulse. Sure, barely any benefit but hey. I'll take any benefit no matter how small. Nice deck! =)
Yeah Aether Vial was kind of hit or miss for me. That is a good point thought. Collected company will be similiar to that effect. I should be putting a Gemhide in though. I have a playset of them lying around somewhere haha.
I just tried out Aether Vial in the deck again. It works better now that I have taken some of the lands out. I just put them back in.
Glad to see you continue to improve your deck =)If you happen to find another 1 of your Gemhide Slivers, take out 1 Manaweft Sliver. I just got hit with an Echoing Truth the other day. Ugh.
Haha, Slivers is such a fine balance to play with.
To be honest I really don't like the Mana Leaks in this build. As well Venom Sliver and Striking Sliver together will win games. It's one of my favourite sliver pairings.
Striking sliver might not be bad sideboard tech for me. That pairing is not bad at all. The mana leaks can be kind of durdly at times, maybe there is something better.
I made a Modern Sliver EDH, so here's a look at that: http://www.mtgvault.com/padfoot8181/decks/youre-gonna-need-some-tweezers/
This deck is pretty good. One addition I may add is a card called "Primal Surge". The reason I would add this is because you will then be able to play a lot of permanents without paying the mana cost. Otherwise this deck is pretty good :) hope I helped!
If I could find a way to cheat out Primal Surge that might be good.
In my sliver deck, I run some Gruul War Chants. Very effective for slight buff and menace.
Not a bad idea. That spell fits well in the curve. Maybe a possible sideboard tech.
