Deck discussion for FNM Artifact Deck

Needs more land, 20 is just too low. I suggest adding Creeping Tar Pit to the deck. I think Jace doesn't do enough in your deck, 4 Tezzeret would be more beneficial. Maybe try like 2 Despise and 2 Inquisition of Kozilek instead of 4 Despise.. in some matchups its too narrow and Inquisition gets their removal out of their hand. Phyrexian Revoker seems at best a sideboard card, try adding more "bombs" for kill condition like Wurmcoil Engine. I think Diabolic Tutor is too slow for standard as well. I know I'm criticizing a lot but Tezzeret decks can be A LOT better, my brother wins our FNM almost every week with his Tezzeret deck.

Hope i helped some! :D :D :D

Here is the second problem also. Though I love inquistion, I won't be able to play FNM regularly until around or even after September, which is when rise of the eldrazi cycles out. So I would rather stick to the newer block so that way when the cycle happens, I don't have to reformat some things, hence this is why creeping tar pit isn't in here either.

Lol I got two Spellskites... damn hard to get. Fortunately I got one from a card shop for $8 and the other in a trade.

I did... and I can say I approve. This deck is definately in the build phase and I have found it plays well other than it starts slow.

Adding Everflowing Chalice helps ramp nicely into turn 3 Tezzeret and like turn 5 Wurmcoil, not to mention you can play it for 0 and have a 5/5 with Tezzeret's second ability. Also with Tezzeret's Gambit you can not only gain card advantage by drawing two cards but proliferate onto both your Everflowing Chalice and your Planeswalker. When your Chalice taps for 2 colorless it isn't hard to get out of mana leak range. That's also why the deck played tumble magnet, it gives you loads of time to set up and get the mana down you need, not to mention proliferating on it is always nice too! ; )

ALSO: Play Inkmoth Nexus cause if you use Tezzeret's second ability on it its a 5/5 flier with infect, that can close a game out it two turns! : )

Wow. lol. Here's my thought process.

Everflowing chalice is cycling out. so either a memnite or sphere of the suns will fit in perfectly. i lean more towards memnite because of its zero mana cost.
Tezzert's Gambit is a good choice. I think ill put it in.
Tumble Magnet. I should get some. Lol
Inkmoth Nexus = to expensive to buy... lol but if i can get i will get.

DEFINITELY Sphere of the Suns over memnite, i still think you're taking a way too "aggro' approach on Tezzeret with all the small casting cost creature, add more board removal and like a Wurmcoil Engine.
Also Hex Parasite should be sideboard, 2 Hex and 2 Trinket Mage to grab them out of your deck, bring them in against like other control decks that lean on Jace Beleren. Also the Sphinx is really bad because if you + Tezzeret you'll skip over non-artifact creatures leaving you in a bad spot, Wurmcoil is a boss aggro hoser and a kill condition.
-3 Champion -4 Memnite -3 Metamorph -2 Sphinx
+2 Wurmcoil +2 Black Sun's Zenith +4 Sphere +1 Doom Blade +1 Go for the Throat +2 Life's Finale.

I think the spellskite isn't main deckable, Torpor Orb shuts down Splinter Twin as well and doesn't get hit by your board removal.
As for the Hex Parasites put them on the sideboard and add 1 Batterskull and 1 Spell Pierce maindeck.

As for the sideboard, Mental Misstep is weak in this format and Turn to Frog is a terrible card, replace them with answers to Valakut like 4 Spreading Seas and 4 Flashfreeze.

I don't know what you mean exactly but in September i know Torpor Orb won't be needed since Splinter Twin will rotate out. :s

Sorry i forgot about that.. :(

It's all ok. That's why we have Spellskites. And what I mean is how everything fits together. Like how do tumble magnets work in the deck and wurmcoil engine and betterskull... cards like those. How do they work around Tezz?

Just play it like a control deck, start by disrupting their game plan with Despise and single removal, then sweep the board with Life's Finale or Black Sun's Zenith. After that you can pretty much protect Tezzeret with counter magic and Tumble magnets. Use hit + ability to dig into the deck to grab Wurmcoil or Batterskull, the reason you have Batterskull is because you can return it to your hand if it dies by an opponent or to your own Life's Finale, and replay it as a creature. Only - Tezzeret if you are activating the Nexus or if you have an empty Tumble Magnet/ Chalice that you no longer need.

Good luck at your FNM sir. ;)
