The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Countering stuff is fun, and guaranteed to aggravate people if you pull it off right. Like all my decks it's a work in progress until I either pay the 50 or so dollars for it or until I get bored of it. Open to suggestions, just don't tell me to add mill, I get how this scheme could work well with mill, but mill is just so boring.
Infinite counter spells as long as you got 2 spare mana. Elite Arcanists and Isochron Scepters to give you an endless supply of counters and such. Eater of days because you can cast him and then hopefully have enough mana for instants or blockers to last through your opponents 2 free turns. Boomerang their lands if they're struggling with paying high mana costs, might as well make it even harder on them. Use Ghastlord in conjunction with boomerangs and vapor snags. Basically everything about this deck has to do with completely tying your opponents hands and not letting them do anything.

Deck needs Lightning Greaves or Swiftboots to allow Eater of Days to hit when he comes into play and /or protect the Elite Archanist . The Ghastlord seems like a win more card. Since he costs 5 mana you probably would not be able to counter the turn you play him unless you hold him til you reach 7 mana. Replacements could be Thieving Magpie or Spiketail Hatchling which would give you flying threats , card draw and ease your mana requirements. Force Spike, Daze and Memory Lapse may also help. In pure control decks, lands that become creatures are good damage sources for you . Stalking Stones is a nice uncounterable beater if you can control the board. Arcane Laboratory and Standstill are other cards to consider if you have not finalized your deck. Fire//Ice is a great card to put on the Scepter since you can copy either side.

Thanks for the suggestions, replaced my pongifys with Fire // Ice, might replace Ghastlord. Don't really think I need haste for either of Eater or Ghastlord though, it would be nice, but there's not enough room or justification for adding them in my opinion.
