Huge shout-out to http://www.mtgvault.com/invis/decks/overwhelming-denial/ for making me realize the 4 turn win in standard!Any suggestions welcome!
The turn 4 combo:Turn 2, play Thing in the IceTurn 3, drop 2 (3 would be better) counters from TiTiTurn 4, Flip TiTi with Borrowed Hostility, swing for 10 damage (all their creatures have been bounce by TiTi) and then cast fling, sacrificing TiTi for the remaining 10 damage!Alternative wins: Prowess/Drake Drake combo: Get the Drake to 10/4 (or 7/4 with Borrowed Hostility) then cast Insult to double your damage, then cast fling for 20 damage straight to your opponent.Drake combo also works with TiTi!

You just have to hope they don't have any horrors...

Touche... with the current standard meta though, I'm not all that worried. Plus a creature is just gonna get destroyed after you flip TiTi, so it just kinda slows down the combo, not stopping it.
Holy shit, that's fantastic! I might have to note / add this to my deck. I'm glad I was their to enlighten the idea, this is a mean deck!I'd suggest maybe some Commit // Memory in case you need to recycle your deck, Memory is so nice!
I do love the idea of recycling, but in my experience playing these types of decks, if you're alive to recycle, you've probably lost the game. I'd probably consider it in the sideboard incase you find the odd mill deck.
You could also run into someone with a land destruction deck. But I mean, what are the chances? I'm gonna make a deck to counter this, I think I have an idea.
Let me know when you have it built, I'd love to check it out!
Alright, I think I got something. Take a look:http://www.mtgvault.com/invis/decks/charging-up/
Check this one out too, I believe this could have a chance. http://www.mtgvault.com/invis/decks/delirious-extortioner/
My friend made standard land-d and it works really well, he's gonna take it to far to see how it actually goes
Love it. Simply love it.Will be trying this soon !!
This is why I got out of standard. This is insane. So, when is Thing in the Ice being standard banned?
Thing in the ice isn't a piece in any major decks that I can recall. So... It probably won't be.In fact this is really the only viable deck based on thing in the ice I have seen in standard, much less competitive in standard. That being said I could be wrong.
How is it I'd be able to pop off two spells on turn 3 with the mainboard you have? I'm not seeing it happen except with the absolutely PERFECT draw.
For 2 spells turn 3:Borrowed hostility + turn aside Borrowed hostility + magma sprayMagma spray + turn asideAnticipate + borrpwed hostilityAnticipate + magma sprayMagma spray + overwhelming denialBorrowed hostility + overwhelming denialIn rare cases Turn aside + overwhelming denial For 3 spells turn 3:3x turn aside (rare cases)2x borrowed hostility + turn aside2x magma spray + turn asideIf your opponent tries to remove your titi, then 2x turn aside + magma sprayOr 2x turn aside + boreowed hostility There are quite a few ways to do it. Now, with that being said, in testing this deck, I've gotten the 4 turn kill one time. But this is limited testing. The most likely route is turn 5+ simply because you need curious's reduction to drop counters easily. And often times you have to spend a minite digging for the combo.
You would need an absolutely brilliant first draw in order to get this consistently. I just don't see that consistency. However, this is an absolutely fun looking deck, that being said.
In testing it, no... It's not as consistent as it could be. HOWEVER, it is a very powerful deck, and even when it doesn't get the combo, it is extremely capable of stalling to dig to the combo, and functions EXTREMELY well as a prowess deck. The combo is just a fun thing that can happen every once and a while.
I was wondering why you don't take 4 of every card in the combo to maximize the chance of it happening, but I guess that could reduce it's power as a prowess deck. Thanks, this is a great one.
