Standard Nivix Combo

by TheVanished on 07 April 2017

Main Deck (60 cards)

Sideboard (2 cards)

Creatures (1)

Sorceries (1)

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

With the release of Mercurial Geists, it's possible to get a Nivix Combo in standard! Unfortunately it's not turn 4 like the old deck. Any suggestions are welcome!

Note: sideboard isn't actual sideboard, I'm to lazy to build that right now, maybe one day.

How to Play

Getting to the combo is the most important part of the deck. Try and draw as many cards as you can, and get the combo in your hand as soon as possible.
Combo:
Turn 4 (or as soon as possible): Mercurial Geist
Next Turn: Borrowed Hostility/Built to Smash + Rush of Ice/Renegade Tactics + Uncaged Fury = 22 (hopefully unblockable) Damage!

Deck discussion for Standard Nivix Combo

You might want to consider working in something like Curious Homunculus; Stormchaser Mage; or Bedlam Reveler. Or even Enigma Drake from Amonkhet. Relying on one creature is dangerous.

I agree, but there's so little room... It's either I drop the Maps, or put it in the sideboard... (the whole reason I have the maps was because I didn't see the land goes to your hand, so I just thought it could speed the deck up to a turn 4 instead of turn 5.... whelp, kinda useless now)
But for now, I'll add them to the sideboard, and maybe later switch them up.

Another thing I notice now... there's not enough draw in here... finding the combo is mostly gonna be luck... but there's nothing else out there that draws and does something we need... Hopefully some help comes in Amonkkhet.
