Whelp, I found another standard infinite combo. Thanks Wizards!'Suggestions are welcome.
The whole point of the deck is to pull off the infinite combo with Bellowing Aegisaur + Walking Ballista + Winding Constrictor. However, to do so, Aegisaur has to be indestructible (oops). But if we're focusing on making him indestructible, why not just make that a theme, and abuse the interaction of Indestructible + Enrage? Now, this deck is a little light on removal, if you haven't noticed. That's because you WANT your creatures to take damage. Use them as your removal, and do your best to keep them alive, and just play like your typical - even if this isn't the typical - dinosaur deck.Enjoy!

Interesting. Have you played it/play tested it?

I have not. I would love to, but at the moment, 160$ is a little too expensive for me. I might be able to trade for most of it, but it would take me a while to build. I did run a similar deck in Pre-release however, and this color combo with dinosaurs is actually very difficult to beat, so I'm pretty confident it will run well, but I can't say for sure without testing.
Consider using tappedout. You can playtest virtually for free. Of course the accuracy is not 100% how the deck will preform in real life but I find it to be very close.
I know it's out of colour, and is a 4th card for the combo, but Tilonalli's Skinshifter could help. Attack with Tilonalli's Skinshifter and Bellowing Aegisaur to turn the Human into the Dino, then just alternate the Balista pings between the two. Thanks to Ballista's ping effect being instant speed, you can even do this before the declare blockers step. Also, you could use fight effects as your removal as the Enraged will trigger.
It would be a 5th card, because you need the 3 creatures, and an indestructible spell, otherwise you kill your dino :( But yeah, splashing red is definitely a viable option for this deck, and archetype. Red also allows you access to the cheap 1 drop 1 damage cards to trigger your enrage.Oh. dur... I was totally going to do that. Now my problem is where to fit it in. I still like being able to exile anything with Vraska's Contempt, so that stays. Cast out is super nice, but in all honesty, probably the worst of the removal. I'll probably switch it for the dinosaur fight one. Yes?
Oh, but cast out hits other enchantments and artifacts as well, and is the only removal I have that does that. Is it worth dropping?
Actually, having two Bellowing Aegisaur removes the need for indestructiblility in the combo. Just switch your Ballista triggers between the two and they'll put +1/+1 counters on each other. Thus keeping it 4 cards. Cast Out is too strong to not include in the 75, but it doesn't need to be mainboard. Vraska's Contempt could be moved to Sideboard too, unless you're expecting a ton of Walkers that your dinos can't smash. Savage Stomp is good as it's another source for a +1/+1 counter, synergising with Winding Constrictor too. Red also opens up sideboard options like Sweltering Suns. Nuke the board for 3 AND get a bunch of Enrage triggers.
True.I switched the 2 Vraska's Contempt and one of my indestructible spells for 3 Savage Stomp, and then moved Vraska's to the sideboard, and dropped Stinging Shot from the sideboard. That type of deck could be an awesome deck as well. Just a g/r enrage deck, or something similar.
My biggest problem with Vraska's Contempt is it costs 4 mana. While slower (sorcery vs instant), Never (Never // Return) is, imo, a better option to Vraska's Contempt.
... I totally forgot Never was a card for a min... although 2 life can actually help you hold off a loss for even one more round. Plus Never doesn't exile (right?), so if you need to deal with one of the bolas gods, Vraska's comes in pretty habdy.
Ooh, Enrage must be my favorite from the brand new mechanics!...and sorry, I've not payed much attention to Standard lately, but is Rile(?) unplayable? I know this deck is not red, but just asking.
Umm, not necessarily unplayable.... not the best card out there, and doesn't fit in the deck, but you could probably build a decent r/g enrage using cards like rile and dual shot.
I agree. I liked it the moment I saw it.
Last weekend I played a draft, and drafted a decent r/g dino ramp deck, but first round, I lost to a r/g enrage dino deck that ended up taking 1st
How long will this hold up against an energy deck?
I'm not entirely sure. Like I said, I haven't tested it at all. And to be honest, I don't know how energy decks function, so I can't form a game plan in my head to offer any estimate on how it would do.
Every time I've come up on one it has been fast and brutal.
I'll look into it and let you know
