Deck discussion for Tempered Steel FTW

I get thoughtcast is good, but why play so many islands?

Some Blinkmoth and Inkmoth Nexus would fit well in here. Also Darksteel Citadel...
Of course, Glimmervoid would be even better since it can generate both U and W. With this you could cut down on the basic lands.

Glimmervoid is 7.50$ per card! (considering the fact that people may want to make this deck)

Nice deck! I had one almost the same as it. Two things you should consider are master of etherium and ranger of eos. :)

Why not take out glint hawk and throw in Darklit Gargoyle (? Shards of Alara 1W gargoyle) or something that's an actual artifact creature and gets a benefit from tempered steel?

If you aren't going for a budget and trying to make this deck the best you can, I saw a person from pro tour with a really good decklist and I can give it to you. It may look not so good but it's more consistant than any other version of the deck. :)

Okay, it's on youtube. Go to youtube and type in Worlds 2010 Deck Tech: Steel Artifact with Jonathan Smithers. You might put in glimmervoid and maybe cranial plating, You could play-test them and see if they work. Oh, and maybe thoughtcast. :)
