Budget Titan Time!

Main Deck (60 cards)

Land (23)

Sideboard (17 cards)

Instants (5)

Artifacts (2)

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

I was falling asleep and then i was like Titan Forge, i'll use it in a deck!
NOTE: Lux Cannons are just a mayboard.

BEST CARDS:
Titan Forge: WIN!
Coretapper: you can have a turn 3 9/9 golem!
Energy Chamber: charge counters for everyone!

How to Play

This deck uses charged golems and batteries to win, mid game!

FRIENDS: http://www.mtgvault.com/theswarmer/decks/budget-vanishing-aggro/ and http://www.mtgvault.com/theswarmer/decks/budget-simic/ cause proliferate!
FOES: CREEPING CORROSION and any artifact removal are painful to deal with, strong aggro deck with lots of early game action are also a problem, if not responded to with a Titan Forge+Coretapper combo and lots of 3/3 golems will mean death, LEGION LOYALIST!

My budget decks are supposed to let you have fun! Which is what i think MtG should be about, i try to make theese decks as competitive as possible while still leting you to have a blast while playing them. If you can make your friends to spend round 50$ you could buy 2-3 of my decks and make the experience even richer! Also don't just copy the whole deck(you can), if you have better idea pls let me know, i can't always make the perfect deck and sideboard. Again GL and HF!

What about Shrine of Piercing Vision, could perhaps smooth out this decks endgame a bit by digging you into your titan forge, whenever simple 3/3s dont cut it.

if you are willing to add black
Skeleton Shard
you can play core tapper, sacrifice it, bring it back in your and and recast it most turn

also Astral Cornucopia, you can easily cast it for 0 and place counter on it after

You can take a look at my deck based on Lux Cannon(similar mechanic)

If you were willing to add a little green for pump spells, then Precursor Golem could certainly be useful to coordinate massive damage with all your Golems. It's a big change but it's an idea.

I would say you could use myr retriever sideboard to pull core tappers back out

Nice deck, I love the use of Titan Forge. I noticed a lot of your cards are colorless, have you considered running Urzatron? Or Twelvepost if you're willing to go Legacy instead of Modern.

Proliferate! YES! I miss my infect deck so much! all you have to do is give them one poison counter, the rest is history :) Marsh Viper, Swamp Mosquito, and of course, cheap infect creatures lol Black/Green

Nice deck. How the devil do you come up with such interesting decks, Swarm?

I think that this plan would work great!

If you don't care about legality ... sol ring isn't half bad.

My thought process: looking at a spoiler card from per say . . . SoM and i'm just like hmmm that card is interesting (it can be anything from a 1/1 guy to a Titan Forge) i'll use it in a deck that will focus around it.

Why not 2 Myr Galvanizer + Mana producing Myr + Coretapper = infinite charge counters wherever you want them. then you can keep pooping out 9/9's. blend in some green for Seedborn Muse and it's a 9/9 every turn :D

Unwinding clock could also work. Add in artifact lands. Also add in Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas for a good finisher.

Of course then it wouldn't be a budget deck so much. Just an idea.

Yeah i want it mono-colored and budget

Add in Throne of Geth. You can sac your used up artifacts or tokens about to die or sac the throne itself to proliferate.

0

you may want to add a wing splicer for side board

0
Posted 25 April 2014 at 08:02

I built a deck with a similar idea, but I wanted it to be rather mid to lategame than aggro.
I'm using "Chronozoa" and "Power Conduit" to generate and move counters. "Contagion Engine" to proliferate and "Wing Splicer" as finisher.

Greetings
Muktol

You sir are amazing. This is what the base of all splicer decks should look like.

P.S. If you want more of those upkeep triggers add some Paradox Hazes

P.P.S. Mirrorworks is also your friend

Four Fabricate since you are pretty much relying on the forge to win.

No you can win with the 3/3 golem producers but i will side them

0

In your description, you say the combo is Thrummingbird + Energy Chamber = +2+2 each turn, are you saying that they generate 2 +1/+1 counters each turn with Proliferate? Also, have you thought about using Populate with a deck like this? I know you would have to change colors but just a thought.

0
Posted 25 April 2014 at 18:57

It would be cool but i don't know what to cut and want to keep it mono-blue

0
Posted 25 April 2014 at 19:52

I have an attempt at such a deck using populate(in green/white instead of mono-blue), though I don't feel it turned out as elegant as this deck design and certainly is not a budget deck. I could drop Trostani, the scry land, and the artifact lands and it would be significantly closer to being a budget deck. It also doesn't make use of proliferate, hard to include it without blue mana.

Alright, Thrummingbird is pretty good.

Mr. Infuser is good. I wish his ability was s little bit stronger; 2 counters would be good, but not over the top.

1

you could trade a land or two for it. Since you have such a low mana curve i don't think 23 lands are too necessary.

1
Posted 16 May 2014 at 18:04

this is true, 21 or 22 land should be fine with a curve where almost everything can be cast in 3 or less

1
Posted 16 May 2014 at 18:33

I like the idea but i don't know if it would work, and you want to drop a land every turn so 23 is fine for me.

1

I would put in a Karn Liberated mainly for flavor but also because of his ability to exile cards.

+1 from me. I have been trying to develop a titan-forge based deck with reasonable for awhile. Well done. Though out of curiosity, what's your take on splashing white for blade splicer?

Have you thought about adding some voltaic key, or man land like Dread Statuary since its a golem too. Or maybe even Rogue's Passage to make your Titan Forge token unblockable.

0

I had included Dread Statuary and am looking for my votaic key. I had not considered rouge's passage. Thanks for the suggestion!

These dont fit the theme 100% but can work in this deck maybe. Necrogen Censer,
Lightning Coils, Golden Urn, or Everflowing Chalice

0

Yeah you're right they don't fit here but they are lowly! an i will make a deck arround them

0
Posted 09 June 2014 at 15:02

i would add some removal just in case the opponent has a hard counter such as Kataki, War's Wage

0

I see that most of your creatures are colorless and your deck is legal in modern. Also the blue creatures you have only require one blue land. My suggestion is that you should try Urza's powerplant, Urza's mine, and Urza's tower. Turn 3 you can have 7 mana, but it only works if you have all three of each different card in your opening hand. Anyways, that's what I recommend.

So i am not an expert at the moment but wanted an artifact deck.

This was the thing i was looking for. Most of the people i play with have a pretty aggro deck, any way to counter this?
Or just hope the luck of the draw gives you the ability to pop some golems?
thanks in advance and i really like the deck!!

Hmm, this deck is slow indeed, better update that, back when I made it I had to respond to 5 comments a day and kinda didn't make it more resilient, after that I just forgot. I'll add counterspells and maybe Epochrasite.
If you have trouble fighting aggro try more counterspells and maybe crds like guard gomazoa, wall of frost or any blue walls I guess.
If you are planning on making the deck buy the deck and all the cards you think you might put in/all the optional cards.

Thanks for the reply, got the deck allready ;) Had most of the pieces so it was only a few bucks for me!

I kinda like the the titan forge and other cards with counters..
Would it be to much to ask if you made a V2.0 for this deck?
I am not that familiar with MTG that i can easily make a contribution at this point ;)

Needs more proliferate:

Thrumingbird. (flying creature)
Fuel for the cause (counterspell + control)

Brain in a jar (artifact) might be an interesting option if you are running mutlple different cmc's of counterspells and proliferate....

This deck needs a bullet to put it out of its misery. It stands testament to two things;
Just how unbelievably stupid I was 4 years ago.
And how unbelievably stupid all the people who did not point out the difference between budget and casual whilst not telling me how much this deck sucks are.
Which trust me, it sucks a lot.

Besides a bullet this deck would need another color to give it removal, or a way of surviving, plus hard counters.
That said, Fuel for the cause goes in.
