!OUTDATED!This is what I'll be playing this next standard season. I chose this becasue:A) Artistocrats are no more :(B) Grixis control is life!C) The only card that costs something that I'm missing is Ob.D) MONEY, I don't want to spend amost anything on this deck.E) This allows me to run some pet cards such as Accursed Witch, Dynavolt Tower and Brutal Expulsion. And I'm posting this becasue I want help with the sideboard and with the deck in general. As far as the threats are concerned, I went with what I had available plus some silver bullets.Accursed Witch allows me to play very passively once I curse them and is a very good blocker, not that it sucks on offense.Metallurgic Summonings gives me a way to go wide and a way to finish the game with end of turn sac it, play 4 kill spells and swing with all the x/x tokens.EDIT: Got cut, Ob is betterDynavolt Tower kills walkers, makes use of energy, makes Harnessed Lightning do 5 damage and is a win conditon.Though they are all artifacts/enchantments and that might be a problem.
The deck is grixis for Radiant Flames alone, but if I'm going blue I might as well play Anticipate and all the other blue goodness. It is a pretty easy to understand control deck, you spend the first few turns killing threats and drawing cards, on 5 you want GDD and at some point you'll outvalue your opponent and start winning. The problems I think this deck will have are planeswalkers and ofc mana but I'll work on that.

Can't help much with Sideboarding without knowing the meta of your LGS. A Wandering Fumarole or two mainboard can help both with mana fixing and as a beat stick. I'm playing a splash of white in my R control deck in Standard and my Needle Spires are proving to be awesome.

Hmmm, manlands are obviously better than the wannabe guildgates that I'm running and I'll surely play them if I manage to trade for them.As far as my standard meta is concerned....I am not sure as I have not been to my lgs since the prerelease, but I'll try my best:UG MarvelMono W aggroGW tokens or mid or whatever it's called nowadaysGB Rites/aristocratsUR Thermo thingUB controlUB controlBR VampsGB deliriumGR RampI think that's it.
Could you please look at my deck and give me some advice on it? I am new to the game and am trying to make a competitive standard deck.
