Deck Description

It runs a few cards that are a bit over budget, because I'll likely be building this deck and already have Kalitas, arena and bolas

Deck discussion for Budget Modern Rakos Control

It bears similarities to my favorite Rakdos. I saw your critique on the Hand Reduction deck, you mind if I got some input on a few of my decks?

If you were going to go more of a control route with Rakdos, I would recommend looking up some of the BR Demigod Lists, they are probably the closest examples to what you are trying to do.

With that in mind, I feel if you are playing control you need some way to clear boards, Anger Of The Gods, Sweltering Suns and Damnation (If not Damnation, Languish can serve as a substitute)

Chandra, Pyromaster may also be useful as another walker, Torch Of Defiance is probably out of budget but a better upgrade if funds become available.

Demigod is a card I spent a lot of time considering, but I concluded that wihout Jarad's orders the card is too heavy to run. But it is an avenue that might be worth exploring further.

Boardclears don't seem particularly good in the current metagame, and are far from synergistic with the rest of the deck. Which to be honest, the deck is not exactly good, Rakdos as a control shell does not have a lot to offer without Blood Moons and Liliana.

I'd probably just make a new deck instead of improving on this one, it really does seem draw dependent and lack luster.

It could be correct then to just follow with the Mardu Bedlam shells then, just without running Liliana Of the Veil and Blood Moons.
