Had this in my mind for quite a while but only now have I convinced myself to do this.NOTE: Recently A LOT of the eldrazi cards have been going up in price, and I have no idea if the deck is actually still budget. And I'm not willing to go check if it is every day.Shit worth talking about:First of all this is basically a tier 2 or tier 3 deck, it's something you play if you want to play a slow eldrazi deck in modern.Blight Herder: This is our value mid game drop, it's basically our siege rhino, with some ups and some downs of course. It has a bigger body spread amog multiple dudes, it gives mana and can be played on turn 4 with Eldrazi Temple.Wasteland Strangler: Again, just a way to abuse exiling, this time it's a sorcery speed bolt with a 2 mana 3/2 body which while not great is totally fine because we have 2 things we really want in one card.Relic of Progenitus and Rest in Peace: These ensure that there is plenty to exile and that we basically can't die to gy decks. Both very good cards that help in a lot of matchups.Castigate and Duress: Both very good budget discard spells, Duress is not quite ideal and should be thoughtseize or inquisition but Castigate exiles and takes anything so I find it very fitting in this deck.Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger: So you want to play eldrazi? in modern? OF COURSE you play Ulamog, he isn't uncatable and once he resolves you have basically won.The rest of the deck is the best cards I could think of in their respective categories.
The idea is simple very obvious. Get stuff exiled, profit from stuff getting exiled, win.You have good disruption due to discard and gy hate, you don't care about 'when dies' triggers and you have good threats. This makes you a bit weaker midrange deck but I think for 150 bucks this is just fine.My budget decks are supposed to let you have fun! Which is what i think MtG should be about, i try to make these decks as competitive as possible while still letting you to have a blast while playing them. I DON'T and WON'T make them cheaper as that would make them absolute shit, these decks are REAL budget decks in that they are cheap decks that can be played in their respective formats to at least some success. Also don't just copy the whole deck(you can, but if you can improve something DO IT!), if you have a better idea pls let me know, i can't always make the perfect deck and sideboard. Again GL and HF!
