Inspired by the entire community going wild about this deck xDNOTES:1) Faithless Looting, I really want to run more, but am completely not sure about them, but it simply feels wrong to have only 2 in a deck with 4 quees.2) Asylum Visitor seems worthy of 3 slots3) Call the Bloodline might still want to be a playsetNow, ever since the HOU prerelease I was aching to put my foil promo driven // despair into a deck and when this popped up I too went wild as I have been trying to fit a playset of my favorite goblin alongside 4 Zombie Infestation and my foil Asylum Visitors and my favorite pauper card Grave Scrabbler AND my all time favorite card Smallpox into 1 single deck. Which resulted into a variant of "Mardu Madness", a budget one mind you, hence the lack of a playset of liliana of the veil and also the lack of a proper mana base which would be comprised of many fetches, few shocks, many fastlands and ofc basics. My take of the deck was one of pet cards, and a full on attrition strategy, as well as one of all embracing of all 4 colors, albeit through shitty lands. The sideboard also shows this through cards like Ray of Revelation and Ancient Grudge which are excellent at dealing with graveyard hate as well as anything else they were designed to be a natural 2for1 against.A quick note about Big Game Hunter:Big Etched ChampionsInfect creaturesTron payoffsTasigurGoyf TitansAnd more, it even gets around protection and regeneration, it is THE kill spell the deck was aching for. But it could still use that playset of lilianas.
As for the strategy: The original deck was an attrition deck at its core, beating the crap out of BW pox even, it was an extremely unique deck that was basically my wet dream except for 2 things;1) It didn't have 4 Lilis2) It did not play smallpoxWhat I decided to do with the list was make it super attrition heavy with smallpox acting as a speedbump that often puts us into a better position. Necrogen Mists are 33% of Lili and the best I can do for now. A full playset of Lingering Souls tries to deal with flyers as well as walkers, Asylum Visitor (which I want to run 3 of) take advantage of the mists as well as the fact that getting 2 draws a turn from it is a piece of cake in the mid game. This reduces the gameplan to an attrition battle in which Big Game Hunters and poxes kill what cannot be blocked, hands are emptied and squee overthrows any card in a contest of value when on turn 15 it amounts 6 zombies and counting.
