The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

How to Play

Today we will be focusing on removal spells.

Currently Standard Removal Spells:
________________________
Okay removal

Clear a path: I like walls, so I don't use this as often.

Feast of Dreams: Get rid of bestowers? Perfect for that.

Dark Betrayal: Black is a common theme in Theros, so this might be useful against a mono black deck. Sideboard with Doom Blade (m14) for maximum usage in Modern.
_________________________
Bad Removal

Asphyxiate: Get rid of untapped creatures for 3? This is worse than Murder! And it's a sorcery! Wow, this is really bad!

Rite of the Serpent: WARNING: DO NOT PLAY THIS CARD: YOU ARE LOSING VALUE! You get the idea.

Spiteful Blow: Complete bleh. Black doesn't even do land destruction anyway!
_________________________
Better Removal

Sip of Hemlock: Okay, way worse than Hideous End though.

Flesh to dust: Yeah, I get that they can't be regenerated. But the only creatures you can regenerate are Deathbellow Raider, Ancient Silverback, and Kin-Tree Warden.

Hero's Downfall/Murderous Cut: Definitely the 2 best removal spells there are. I can't figure out which is better though.

ok look rite of the serpent: 6 mana including 2 black for sorcery destroy target creature. nobody plays out last but if the creature did have a counter you get a measly 1/1

asphyxeate: 3 mana including two black sorcery destroy target untapped creature and unless the opponent is playing aggro, most of their creature will remain untapped for lots of the game.

compare these two which would you rather have in your hand

neither they both suck. Might as well play murder instead of asphyxiate. Might as well play spiteful blow instead of rite.
