I've been tinkering around with the very same idea. Here's my current build if you'd like to take a look. I can't believe I didn't think of comet storm till I came here. What an amazing card. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=159212

Yeah, the trick is keeping him alive but I hope the get around that by keeping his toughness up above burn rnage and holding him beack if I need to. Thanks for the advice though, I'll keep it in mind if it becomes a problem. Having a guy that huge be unblockable would be sweet.
Precurser Golen is a great target for Mimic Vat and a much better threat as people start to value GfT. So I would suggest it. So.. -Squadron Hawks -Nighthawk -Skinrender +3 Precurser Golem +1 Wurmcoil +2 Day of Judgment +1 Mimic Vat +2 Vampire Hexmage +2 Viscera Seer The Hexmage is just a great tool for killing planeswalkers and she can sac herself to get on the Vat and the seer is great for deck control and getting your creatures on the vat. Hope that helps.
I have to say, I don't really see the point of the little creatures in this deck. If I were you I'd go one of two ways: 1) Keep the hawks, drop the nighthawks/skinrenders and add in 4 stone forge and one of each sword. Or 2) Drop the hawks, nighthawks, skinrenders and add more fatties/control. Doing one or the other will at least add more focus to the deck and stabilize it. Otherwise you're looking to languish in mid game to do what? Cast a hawk? They'll really only be good for stall at best while you wait for your real threats and I'd rather be playing your threats than waiting for them. You might want to consider White Sun Zenith/Massacre Wurm, more wurmcoils more days and more black sun zenith.
Well, I'd probably take out Drana, Ghuul Draz and drop captivating down to two. I also agree on adding lacerators and removing disentomb. I also don't really like feast of blood as I find it too slow/ conditional and can be a dead card in your hand. I'd consider running two disfigure, adding another sign in blood ( amazing card) and adding one more GfT, assuming you're going to do a straight trade on the doom blades and put them in your side.
Kalastria, while ridiculous when paired with viscera is still great on her own. Imagine swinging and seeing the look on your opponent's face when they realize they're still going to take two if they block or not. And if it's a bloodghast you just play your land and get him back. Also boros and other aggro decks have trouble dealing with the lifegain. Trust me, I was playing boros yesterday and was destroyed by Kalastria and bloodghast.
Viscera Seer, Kalastria and Bloodghast are just too good to not play IMO. Throwing Blade of the Bloodchief will give your deck synergy and make it faster. So yeah, I woud lose guul draz, nighthawk, disentomb and exasanguinate. Lastly, GfT couldn't hurt.
I definitely think you need more land. If you want consistency you're going to want 24. You just can't afford to miss any land drops. Also, I love the idea of a tempered steel infect deck (was going to build it then completely forgot). That being said, you need to run more of them! Drawing one is nice, but having two out at a time would be sick. Other then that, I love the deck and would love to try it out. I just might build it later and test it against my mono-black infect deck. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=145857
