Deck Description

So this is a look at a new tribal deck in modern modern vial spirits. so as usual heres the breakdown.

Drogskol Captain: It lords stats and hexproof this card is a workhorse, a natural 4 of.

Eldrazi Displacer: A repeatable resto angel in a deck with a lot of etb effects it can be really good but it might be better to just run resto angel.

Geist of Saint Traft: The king of tempo this card wins games might easily warrant a third copy.

Mausoleum Wanderer: Card is a workhorse for a lot of reasons it gets temp stats from your creature casts and can be a control tool as well.

Rattlechains: One of the cards that makes this deck viable, flash is always good and its a 2 drop that gives hexproof to your dudes.

Sefless Spirit: a great defensive tool against wipes or even a block to let geist swing one more time this card is a great two of that might warrant more.

Spell Queller: I don't think this is as good as reflector mage that being said it is a spirit and you cant run both plus this one flys.

Spirit of the Labyrinth: You don't draw extra cards so no one needs to draw extra cards plus it blocks nicely against zoo / burn/ jund.

Lingering Souls: This card is good enough to splash b for. It makes 4 spirits a copy enough said.

Supreme Verdict: This card is abusable with selfless spirit it might be worth cutting it though as it might be to slow.

Vapor Snag: Tempo Tempo Tempo plus you know getting that damage in.

Aether Vial: Its a linear creature based deck so like fish and knights vial is an easy 4 of.

How to Play

So this is another linear creature based deck but with a slightly more aggressive aspect. Make no mistake this is an aggressive deck you want to close out the game quickly with your insane tempo cards. Plus almost all your stuff flys so natural evasion ftw.

Deck discussion for TheWeeklyBrew: Spirited Away

Personally, I prefer Restoration Angel over Eldrazi Displacer. Flash and Flying are the main reasons, plus it's out of Bolt range, unlike Displacer. Angel also doesn't need {C} for its ability, which can help clean up your mana base a bit. In Displacer's defence, Displacer costs less, and its Blink effect is reusable and usable on an opponent's creature, returning it tapped, thus removing a blocker.

I think 2x Supreme Verdict is a good sweet spot. Not too many to make it a dead card, but just enough to be there when you absolutely need its effect, which will happen.

yea I'm thinking about making the switch back to resto especially since discplacer doesn't have tribe synergy anyways. And verdict is rude with selfless spirit but yea I ran with three at first and drawing more than one usually felt bad s I cut down to two with one in the side for those matchups where drawing more than one felt ok.

So after a bit of testing this deck performed suppriningly well despite its weak matchups against eldrazi aggro
