why no splinter twin/presence of gond/midnight guard? I mean you have the Kiki resto/bellringer combo in there, why not add the rest of the pieces to make it more common to pull off? Besides that I feel yours is more combo oriented rather then just the striaght beatdown path. Some groups of friends/play groups try to stray away from combo decks, so that may also explain why his deck is how it is.

also glipmse of nature will help you play your whole deck if need be when you have an infinite mana combo out.
maybe i just play competitievly so combo is really the only way to go in edh also still working on adding it all it was alot to switch
Don't get me wrong I play combo also, I just don't feel like straight crushing players who can't afford good decks with combo game after game. I mean I can go: Dream halls into omniscience enter the infinite /win no problem in my neka.dec or temble bell/mind over matter or neka/helm of the ghastlord just it isn't fun ruining your friends time when they're jsut getting into magic. once they havea real deck sure.
