Something I came up with to duel the meta slaves at my LGS. It has a lot of powerful answers to the most popular cards in Modern. Mainboard is flexible with answers to many archetypes. Mainboard graveyard hate: Endurance, Scooze, Kaya, Kaya's Guile.Hand disruption to fight the pesky combo and control decks: Liliana of the Veil, Inquisition and Thoughtseize.A lot of board removal for 1 CMC cards(Ragavan, DRC, Amulet, etc..): Abrupt Decay, Kaya, Prismatic Ending, Witherbloom command.Sideboard is also filled with answers to current popular decks. Kataki and Ouphe to battle Affinity, Hammertime and Urza's Saga decks.Chalice of the void, Thoughtseize and Void Mirror for against cascade decks. Void Mirror also flexes well against Tron.Plague Engineer is great against Ragavan and Elementals.Sanctifier En-Vec as additional graveyard hate when against BR delirium and Izzet Prowess/Murktide. Unearth is also great in these match ups.Veil of Summer and Thoughtseize are great against control.
Just like any other midrange deck, you will want to disrupt the opponent from doing whatever it is they want to do. Whether in the form of hand disruption or board removal. Meanwhile you want to drop one of the big threats such as Goyf or Endurance and pressure them.

I love this idea. Having taken a decent amount of time out of my life to analyze and figure out the Modern meta, I've seen that each deck has a strength and a weakness. It's very difficult to find a balance between consistency, counters and wincons, especially in Modern, which is an oddly restrictive format when it comes to a "jack-of-all-trades" decklist. However, I think this deck is probably about as close to one as you can get on paper. I'd be interested to see how it really performs, though. All in all, well done.

If you take a look at the siteMtgmeta.ioThen you can see the meta in a tennis bracket of %One of the most notable thing in the meta is the formation of 50% matchups.Theres is NO deck that does NOT have a 50% matchup. That's the backbone of the meta, older decks tend to form more 50% matchups than other decks. The key is that people on an average prefer to go 50% against some decks, while they go all out war on others. So if you were to sideboard against a bunch of decks, which direction do you sideboard against ?Decks that defeat you 25% of the time, decks that defeat you 50% of the time or decks that defeat you 75% of the time ?This should aid your understanding :)
I love this site. Made an account in mere minutes after my first search.
