Into the Roil is strictly better than Disperse. Wall of Frost would be better in this deck than Hover Barrier. There are many better removal spells, even in a mill deck, than Death's Approach.

Yea this deck has gone through so many revisions over the years, i think it's really lost sight of its goal. At this point it's just piecemeal'd together
If you want some ideas, here's my mill deckhttp://www.mtgvault.com/soulofmirrodin/decks/midrange-mill/
I'd put in some Jace's Phantasms. They're one of my favorite 1-drops (costs 1 mana).
He's right, they are the best cards in my mill deck.
Ill definitely have to look into getting some of those. my early game suffers a bit.
twincast. tome scour
I actually just pulled those out
I'd also run a playset of hedron crab.Mind funeral
I wouldn't use Twincast or Mind Funeral. Mind Funeral mills around 9 cards on average, making it worse than Glimpse the Unthinkbale and one mana more.
SOULOFMIRRODIN: The average on mind funeral is based on opponents number of lands. Against those with 22 lands I have it at 13-14 cards milled!
I was just saying for the average deck with around 24 lands. And I'm pretty sure that that was unusual, I thought that it only milled around 11 cards from decks with 22 lands.
Nope, :D, the less lands, the more it mills. Very cool against charbelcher and "look ma, no lands"/balustrade combo ;)
If you keep on playing with the chancellor, you should consider supporting it with surgical extraction. Both in an oppeninghand can be crippling for the opponent.
That's not a bad idea come to think of it, but I'm probably going to get rid of it for something with a little more staying power.
Yo there, just poping in to tell you that I've copied two mill-decks that've won nice places in modern, meaning mill is now doable!
Well, it's me again. If you haven't noticed it, tron-decks have come up with a move against mill. They play 2-3 different eldrazi, mainly emrakul and ulamog.A countermove is to load up with 4 ghostquarters, kill a urza-land and extirpate it, cripling the developement of the deck drastically, buying time enough to get rid of all three types of eldrazi.Other decktypes have embraced leyline of sanctity, and since if you cannot target them, 90% of your mill will be useless (Except stuff like mesmeric orb!) Countermove might be wipe away, or echoing truth.
