Deck Description

As always, likes and comments are appreciated!

Flavor text: "Many sigils, one purpose."

This deck is all about knocking out your opponent with your one-hit wonder; it's the march of the exalted. Your other creatures will buff your attacker - whoever you have on the board that would be most ideal - and then swing for the win. There is also a slight element of control to help you maintain board presence as well as remove/negate threats, blockers, and other cards you may find unpleasant.

How to Play

Noble Heirarch and Birds of Paradise serve as the cards to help pay for whatever card you need.

Giltspire Avenger helps ward off possible attacks as he can destroy an opponents tapped creature that dealt damage to you this turn as well as a means of buffing your attacker. Qasali Pridemage is another creature that will buff your attacker and can also be sacrificed to remove an unwanted enchantment or artifact.

Silent Arbiter gives you a means of protection and control by allowing for only one attacker and one blocker at any given time. Very useful in this deck.

Sublime Archangel is the main support card of the deck, as she not only has exalted but gives all your other creatures exalted.. meaning many of your creatures could have multiple instances of exalted trigger when you attack alone. She is your 2nd best option as an attacker. Rafiq is another support card that gives your attacker double strike and also buffs them.

Geist of Saint Traft will be your best option as an attacker. He gets the effects of exalted since it triggers when you -declare- attackers, not when the attack happens, and so he will get those benefits in addition to sending out a 4/4 Angel with flying to help deal damage.

Lightmine Field is another great control card as it wrecks decks such as aggro and overrun. Finest Hour will give your attacker a nice little boost by giving that card another combat phase after the first to deal additional damage.

As always, hope you enjoy this deck!

Deck discussion for March of the Exalted

I've always wanted to make an exalted deck using Bramblesnap. Attack with Bramblesnap, it gets +1/+1's from all the exalted triggers, then tap all other creatures to Bramblesnap's ability for even more +1/+1's. Knotvine Paladin doesn‘t have trample like Bramblesnap, but it's bonus +1/+1's don't require you to tap your own creatures, plus Trample it easily granted via cards like Selesnya Charm and Rancor.

I've seen Silent Arbiter used in exalted decks to limit the number of attackers and blockers, but I think Archangel of Tithes might be better at the role.

Bramblesnap is an interesting card for exalted to be sure. I was thinking about Knotvine Paladin but I think the other creatures I have, particularly Geist of Saint Traft, can do a more than sufficient job. Silent Arbiter is great but I think Stoic Angel does a better job in this deck. Archangel would be amazing but the diversity of mana in this deck would make getting 3 white manas a bit difficult. Thanks for the suggestions, hope you like the deck :)

Glad you like it! Sigarda would be a good sideboard card possibly but don't see a way to make room for her in the main board.

Changed up the land base a bit.. had too many lands that came into the battlefield tapped and that slowed down the deck.. should move faster now.

To help save some life you can run hinterland harbour, seachrome coast, and razorverge thicket

Brilliant. +1 like(as always). Exalted is a beautiful thing, especially with flying and that type of thing to make it unblockable. If no flying, trample can always get the damage through. Each creature doing their part to help, yet still staying behind to block, without needing vigilance. I can never resist looking at an exalted deck-they are so easy to make and use, yet are tricky and devilish. You have my compliments, Mr Munchkin :)
May the force be with you,
Shui

Did some more play testing and decided to change out Stoic Angel for Silent Arbiter.

I think there is too few of exalted... Also with Lightmine field you forgo the attack with birds/noble hierarch... Here is mine: http://www.mtgvault.com/john721/decks/exalted-bant/

You actually get to choose the order on the stack so you can have the exalted triggers happen before Lightmine Field's trigger thus not killing a bird or heirarch. It's a great control card for an exalted deck. This deck has 22 possible exalted triggers not including multiple instances you can get with Archangel. I've play tested it quite a bit and haven't had problems with having sufficient triggers to wreck your opponent. Left a comment/like on your deck. Thanks for the input :)

Consider Aven Squire, Akrasan Squire and Knight of Glory as cheap exalted cards, 'cos they may be small, but bring in a good ol' punch!

Changed the land base just slightly with this deck - dropped the 2 birds of paradise and a cathedral of war to add 1 of each basic land.

Hmmm...
...Cathedral of War is quite useful, I'm not sure if that was wise...
...But I trust your judgement. :)
