I've been in a fog for a new commander lately, fluxing between my old stacks Ruric Thar deck to Valduk Voltron and even Gavi Cycle. However none of those really scratched the itch I had as a player. I wanted a fun, casual, but could still do things deck and then I saw the Bear Queen.Change Log 4/4/21:Out:Return to NatureBeastmaster AscensionEvolution SageMigration PathMuraganda PetroglyphsRenata, Called to the HuntYeva, Nature's HeraldBear Umbra Reclamation SageCommander SphereHeraldic BannerSong of FreyaliseIn:ForestBloodline PretenderFellwar StoneColdsteel HeartMindstoneChameleon ColossusRazorclaw BearForest BearGenesisLifecrafters BestiaryBeast WhispererAdaptive AutomatonThe reasoning for these changes was to cut down on some niche aggro choices and increase my overall ramp and speed of which I can play bears alongside having more bear supportChange Log: 4/10/21Out:Automated Automaton (When Strixhaven is released)Panharmonicon Strionic ResonatorIn:ForestWrap in VigorRuxa, Patient Professor (When Strixhaven is released)When Strixhaven is released having Ruxa in the deck will help grind out some matches by recurring bears as well as buffing them and pushing even more damage through. Also tired of having clunky hands, adding a 30th forest should help smooth out hands. Shoring up mass removal problems with Wrap in VigorChange Log: 4/19/21Out:Guardian GladewalkerIn:Professor of ZoomologyStrixhaven brought us another bear, with Guardian Gladewalker being an okay bear, Professor brings a 4/3 body and a 1/1. Much better bear stats.
So you want to land Ayula when you have 1-2 bears in your hand to make sure you can reliably start applying pressure. Then just keep hitting bear drops to remove opposing creatures or swinging in with bigger bears.
