Deck discussion for Blue/Black Mill

Im thinkin' a few things. I think you need more creatures, even with counter spells. In my opinion, countering and mill don't work well together. If you have to save land every turn to counter something, then it will take you longer and longer to mill. And you eventually run out of counter spells and thus be open for attack. (i'm not really counting nemesis for defense just because it costs 5 to get out)
countering with little spells like tome scour works okay.

When i made my blue/black deck i found myself clogged with spells that cost all 3 to play or more. traumatize is a good card, but i don't think it is worth the mana to play. the Cheaper and faster the better. like tome scour and twin cast would be great.

As for the sideboard relic of pro.....dont need it.
doom blade....if you are going with the counter spell thing which i think you could drop then you don't need them.
infest....if you keep the same creatures then go for it!
Thoughtseize........would be too much think....

Check out my try at this deck.

Thank you very much for your input. I guess my strategy for this deck is to stall while I build up mana. The idea is to retard my opponent's progress for the first five or six turns while I get mana out, and then when I have enough mana to cast traumatize or haunting echoes and protect it with a counter (unless their deck doesn't counter), I do. Then I twincast mind funeral and their deck is basically gone. Taking a look at your deck now.

LOL! You think this is a good deck?? You people are insane. DO NOT run creatures in a Mill Deck, it renders your opponent's creature control useless, and then you use singular creature controls turn 2-3, then counter the rest.

yeah i see your strategy now...I originally went with the whole zombie/mill thing but i really think it is ineffective as for defense while you are milling. With the zombies they take up more deck space you rely heavily on the death baron.

I kind-of adopted your strategy without knowing it when i reworked my deck. I took out all the creatures and put in more control. Except I went with weakening them ass opposed to countering.

Check it out again if you want see... Comments are always nice too :)

Soul manipulation helps to bring back creatures that got nuked :) I like having some blockers. Also I like the look of disgust on my opponent's face when they have to mill from being attacked by nemesis. If nothing else it forces my opponent to tap mana and play a spell to deal with them. Maybe if I switched to Esper colors I could afford to go creatureless...
