'Cause...why not? This seems a little simpler than some of the other infinite sap combos on here. Basic premise: Get out Seton, then Bramble Elemental. Tap one white for Shields of Velis Vel, then tap Seton and Bramble to enchant Bramble with Whip silk, making two saps. Tap the two saps for 2g, to return Whip Silk to your hand, then re-enchant Bramble. Easy as pie.

Summoning sickness is a problem for this. When the saps come in they can't be tapped that turn. You can repeat this combo turn after turn, but you can't do it infinitely in a single turn. :(

Fires of Yavimaya, Fervor, and Emblem of the Warmind are potential solutions but all require R mana. I think there's a thallid or something that lets you sac saps for any color mana.
Seton's text is an inactive tap ability, so the saprolings can tap the turn they come in. Summoning sickness only affects activated tap abilities; i.e., anything with a tap symbol, or that has been errata'd to have one.
the saps aren't druids so they can't use seton's ability. can they?
Saps become druids (and every other creature type) when I play shields of Velis Vel.
This wouldn't go infinite because the saprolings that are made on the second casting of Whip Silk won't be druids, and so, won't be able to make mana.
Yeah, I realized this awhile ago. I would need something like Xenograft or Conspiracy to get the combo to work.
