Throwing around some ideas pre-GTC. I think spare from evil and dynacharge are both underused cards in the current meta--since there aren't many humans, that's quite a bit of unblockable damage for 5 mana, depending on how many creatures you have.

Yeah, it's true, Spare from Evil is underused. And also, you were right to put it in sideboards, not mainboard (which I had done with results varying from excellent to abysmal depending on the opponents' decks). Other than that, yay, more tokens. I like W/R. And tokens.

Yeah, I think Boros is the guild I am most excited for in the next set, though I do love some Gruul, too. I could see Spare falling a little flat for most of the time it has been in standard, but I feel like the meta now has much fewer human decks, and can provide some pretty hefty damage to get through. Any thoughts on what else to add to the SB?
Nice idea. Personally I'd have 4xDoomed Traveller because your chances of drawing a 1 drop creature is so slim right now. I also think that Thraben Doomsayer would fit in really well in to this deck. Rootborn defenses is a good card but frankly its main use is its indestructibility not its populate when you are using a deck with small creatures. Personally I'd sideboard it for use against a deck with a board sweeper and replace it with Thatcher's Revolt. I think that the mini explosion that card offers, 3 creatures with haste is a really useful resource! I'd also consider Parish Champion and Unruly Mob.
I completely agree on the rootborn being better in the sideboard. I already had 3 thatcher revolts in here, but I went ahead and -3 RD, +1 TR, +2 DT. I think that will afford a cleaner draw. As for Champ, I currently have him in this deck: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=407981, which I was trying to differentiate in my mind between a good Boros human deck and Boros token deck. However, I think both of these will change a lot in a month with GTC. I like the idea of mob, but I haven't run him much. I'll playtest that and get back to you.
