Everyone loves alternative wincons, amirite?Near-death experience is a wonderful of the kind, a figment of risk/reward. Now this deck seeks to elliminate as many risks as possible, leading to safe wins without interruptions.
You'll want cathedral membrane and norn's annex out ASAP, as they're your best asset to keep enemies off you. Wall of omens can help with this aswell, but as long as you got atleast one defender and the annex, they'll certainly think twice about attacking. Use safe passage for sticky situations, but try to save one if you got near-death in play.Wincons when NDE is in play:Plunge into Darkness - Pay your health-1 at the end of the opponents turn. If you get a rebuff/safe passage, grab it if the opponent got mana left, else just grab something random (Rebuff if you know the opponent has enchant-removal, passage if you know he has burn spells or abilities.)Wall of Blood: Because this card has never been used with NDE, derp. Pay the 1 life enough times to get you to 1 health just like plunge.Immolating Souleater: This only works if you have uneven health, as phyrexian mana is colored/2hp. Marsh flats helps with that. This is mainly a emergency wincon if you just can't seem to draw the above 2. It also allows you to kill the opponent if you somehow get him low enough. Remember, its 2 life for 1 damage, and with no lifegain in the deck, this is only in case NDE has been extracted or you otherwise can't get ahold of it. Like any combo deck, Loosing NDE is basicly a loss fer ya.
