Deck discussion for Call of the Wild

Type your deck name...Looking for advice, as I am taking this deck to a Standard tourney in a month. Thinking of adding a Savageborn Hydra or two, looking for other ideas.

Take out all 6 zhur tas, the rubblehulks, the desciples and domri rade.
All of those are to slow.

What should I sub in? They're there for Bloodrush, not for hard cast. The Disciples let me chip away, and Domri finds me Bloodrushers.

I suppose this would work, but if I was going to go that way, then I would ditch the the Wild Beastmasters as well. The whole point of those creatures is to use them to Bloodrush the Beastmaster, making all my attacking creatures insane. They are dual purpose. If I was just going to go with cheap and fast creatures, I would dump the Beastmasters, as I would only have the Giant Growths to pump him up, instead of all the Bloodrushers.

My friend played a beastmaster deck in gatecrash standard
it was green white humans
it 4-0ed at a highly competitive FNM location

You definitely want to run 4 savaeborn hydras in this deck. That way you have 8 awesome cards you could possibly play on turn 2 (need some elves for ramp) and then bloodrush on turn 3.

Flinthoof Boar x4 is a must in Gruul.
Ghor-clan Rampager is the best playable bloodrush creature.

Skull crack needs to be in the sideboard at least for decks with lots of life gain which is pretty common in standard currently.

Type your deck name...Yeah, I forgot about the Boar. Was also thinking about maybe putting some Scorchwalkers in instead.

Good call on the Skullcrack. Need something to shut down those pesky Sphinx's Revelations. 8)

Oh yeah... Rampagers... forgot about them. I think I could sub them for the Rubblehulks.

Love it. Finally someone else who considered Wild Beastmaster and Bloodrush. You have given me hope in the MtG community.

I am also wasted, which makes this deck better.

4 Arbor Elf, 4 Mystic Elf, 3-4 legion loyalists, 4 slaughterhorn, 4 rampager, 4 rubblebelt maka, 4 savage born hydra, 4 rancor. Turn one elf, turn two you either have a 1/1 hydra or a beastmaster, turn 3 you can do 3-4 bloodrushes on either if your lucky. I have this deck and I get turn 4 wins a lot. You can throw in flesh/blood incase you get to turn 5 or 6. Its super fast but also fragile. Tragic slip would ruin your day. Definitely ditch the other bloodrush cards because they're too slow. Domri is also too slow. Revenge of the Hunted could be worthwhile. For sideboard I would add rangers guile and naturalize.

Instead of making your own deck, why wouldn't you try to improve the owner's. This comment helps no one, why waste your breath. This deck allows cards like Tragic Slip to be less effective. It's less all-in than your deck. Domi gets bloodrushers into the owner's hand much faster. I find his +1 more practical than his -7 for this deck.

Try to help the owner, don't just tell him to remake the deck.
