This deck just kind of happened. Slivers seemed like an interesting concept to me a few months ago. So when a friend made a soldier deck I returned to this to wreck his day, so a lot of it is built around blocking what he was doing. Im sure it could be more focussed and some of the slivers could be sideboard. I might make changes to it later.
This deck should be played aggressively...to a point. It depends on building up power and toughness so losing a little life early on is acceptable if it means you can keep some of the slivers alive. Tokens are a must as keeping all the numbers in your head gets difficult.

http://www.mtgvault.com/viagrasaurusrex/decks/counter-sliver/ Personally I have found counter sliver to be a bit more viable in legacy Vial is great in the deck

i've never seen counter sliver. and i would love to use vial but i just don't have the money for that. The ziggurat was bad enough.
I do play a more creature based sliver deck in modern, I just find you need a way to interact with combo decks more in legacy. I know, I wish they would just reprint vial, or at least some sorta premade deck with 2 or so in it.
i used to have somewhat of a control aspect to it but i felt like it detracted from the focus of the slivers. If i could get a 2/2 sliver for 3 mana that would counter artifacts and enchantments that would be ideal. im not sure if i could justify having it in the main deck though. probably sideboard
