Endure Endure Endure, and then smash. That is the troll mantra. The point of the deck is to strengthen your creatures through counters while waiting out your opponent using regeneration and lifelink.Side note: I love making tribal decks, but most of my decks are for casual play.
AbilitiesThe beginning of your turn should lead you to have a troll to place out to wait out your opponent's creatures, this would go along the lines of using "Odious Trow" or "Lotleth Troll. By turn three or four you should use "Cudgel Troll" or "Troll Ascetic." All these creatures have regenereate for a cheap cost so you'll be able to get some decent bodies to defend yourself with that you can choose to go on the offensive with no loss of creatures on your side. In the midst of enduring you will be applying +1/+1 counters. There are a manner of ways to place +1/+1 counters on the trolls, though the most reliable method is by using "Forced Adaptation." There are some favorable ways to add counters aside from "Forced Adapation;" in the case of "Lotleth Troll" using it in combination with "Phyrexian Reclamation" and any lifelink method will allow you to beef him up and selectively bring back creatures. "Bow of Nylea" is also a suggested method for placing counters on creatures since it only requires two mana and it allows you to play more aggressively by adding death touch to you attacking trolls.Another method of endurance is lifelink which isn't as reliable as the counters but upon appearing it'll let you go the distance and drag the game to late-game.Creatures RolesCudgel Troll: To be a decent body that regenerates constantly for a small costLotleth Troll:A slowly progressive threat that can be a decent body or a secondary offenseMossbridge Troll:The thick solid wall that erupts into a nightmare if allowed. There will be smashingOdious Trow:The small body that can reliable survive and cover you early gameThrun, The Last Troll:A very difficult body to be rid of due to hexproof and will be a decent body. Plus he's falvor. Not necessary for the deck, it's just a flareTroll Ascetic:A minor version of Thrull but just as stubborn to be goten rid of
