"and then fire shot down from the sky in bolts, like shining blades of a knife..." Kind of creature rush, kind of burn. Comments, suggestions, etc welcome. Not sure what to do about a sideboard.

Very creature-based for a creature-light deck...

It's not really creature-light... Elemental Appeal, Zektar Shrine Expedition I'm counting in my creature count.
Oh, I see. So I guess the Nimbus is for Flinging, and the Thunder Strike just some form of getting past first strike with your weak back ends?
Pretty much, though fling is nice on anything with haste. Namely the Arc Runners who die out in end phase anyways. *bam* 5 damage -> Fling: *bam* 5 damage again. Terramorphics to quick trigger the shrine land-counters added. I think this is viable.
The annoying thing about Rage Nimbus is the defender ability-it's a dead card unless you fling it. Those slots are probably better spent with a Pyroclasm or Volcanic Fallout, or maybe a Claws of Valakut (also a good substitute for Thunder Strike). If you insist on replacing it with a creature, Ball Lightning, Hellspark Elemental, and co. will do the trick as well. Is Pyromancer Ascension easy to set up in this deck? I can see the fun in flinging the same creature twice...
you cant fling the same creature twice, as you would have to sacrifice it twice.
just for clarification ill tell you how it would go in this scenario, you cast fling on arc runner, pyromancers ascension triggers, a new fling is thrown on top of the stack, you target arc runner for the copy, arc runner gets flinged first fling resolves, second fling is unable to resolve due to no creature on your side of the field, and is placed in the graveyard instead.
actually, no; you play the original fling, paying its cost (both mana cost and the sacrificed creature). Pyromancer ascension copies it, including the creature referenced and the target (which is later changed). You don't have to pay the cost again, as you are not playing the copy, so you don't have to sacrifice another creature...
i dont agree, someone we need a ref!
i understand what your saying after some deeper thought, i still say we need a ref :P
I guess it boils down to the fact that sacrificing is a cost, and copying a spell copies the previous instance's properties, eg. as if its costs have already been paid...
replace arc runner with ball lightning, klin fiend works a lot better than rage nimbus imho, and also imho pure flame > pyromancer ascension, by the time you have the quest counters on pyromancers ascension, your opponent should be dead within 1 or 2 casts anyways, same thing with quest for pure flame except you can drop it for 1 less mana.
also use arid mesa instead of terramorphic, sure the 1 life hurts kinda but the whole point of burn decks is to win by turn 4-7 at the latest or bust

and as long as were going with anything land fall in a burn deck, look at plated geopede
This is futureproofed for october so those suggestions won't do it for me. Also, this is a lightning theme deck. I'll conceed to the Arid Mesa option. Plated geopede doesn't do it for me either :P.
the only card that i stated thats falling out in october is ball lightning, so id still drop pyromancers ascension for pure flame, but thats your call
