Rite of Ruin == Worldfire from m13 Pathbreaker Wurm == Thragtusk from m13 1. mana ramp until you have enough for Worldfire 2. float 9 mana 3. use venser to exile llanowar elves or the like 4. cast worldfire 5. wait through their turn. there will be nothing they can do as they only get one card in hand 6. attack for one mana base is a little shaky and its kinda slow. any ideas?

You could add Abundant Growth and remove battle hymn, bit more speed in the ramp, and versatile color. Also.. how will you survive early game? I really like this idea, but surviving rush-decks will be very hard as it is now. If you had more bonfires maybe?

added rampant growth instead of abundant growth since abundant doesn't actually add more mana, just allows it to be of any color, swapped the elk for simulacrum same basic effect except i get the creature and a bonus when it dies. add one more bonfire
Ah I misread Abundant Growth, thought it added one more mana in any color.. wasn't there some old enchantment that did that? Anyway I digress.. You could maybe change Rampant for Emissary's? Would give you a blocker for early game at least (and still fetch land)

This is an awesome combo!! ...but Venser could be easily destroyed... instead of "Entreat the Angels" U gonna' need "Terminus", or "Day of Judgment" (3), or use 3-4 Bonfire & 1-2 Judgment/"Terminus" ... U can play with 24 lands... Here is my idea for the mana base: 4x Wilds, 3x Rootbound, 3x Hinterland, 2x Copperline, 1x Seachrome, 2x Glacial, 3x Forest, 2x Plains, 2x Mountain, 2x Island (15 could add green, 12 blue, 11 red, 9 white)... Alright, i don't particularly like wilds with this few basic lands, if i added them i'd have 8 land searchers and only 9 basic lands. also, terminus and day of judgement would destroy my mana ramp which are also my win condition so i went up to 4 on bonfire, hope thats enough board wipe
