I think you should take out mind control and gather specimens. Instead, add 4 other cancel-like cards and put in 4 Ruin Ghosts. They go hand-in-hand with Roil Elemental.
Dreamscape Artist + Crucible of Worlds + Roil Elemental = Excellent creature control
