Affordable land destruction. This has been banned in all the houses that I play at because your opponents just sit their and watch each land they play get destroyed. Pyretic Ritual, Desperate Ritual, and Lotus Petal ensure you have mana advantage and can destroy their lands starting on turn one. Lightning bolts for anything that they manage to play and shivan wumpus to finish them off. If you're rich add wastelands (hence they're in the sideboard).

No Seismic Spike to chain into a second land destruct spell? Have you considered Stoneshaker Shaman? I see your Red LD deck, and raise you a Black LD! http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=100729
@ Alchamire. I chose roiling terrain over seismic spike due to the damage aspect, which really adds up. With the lotus petals and rituals I really do not need the mana. Also it is pretty rare when I can't kill a land every turn, rarely need to land destruction in the same turn. Thanks for the suggestions though.
Also great LD deck, too bad I don't have over 2k to buy it lol. I think I paid like $12 for mine.
Thanks. I was lucky and picked up most of it back in the day when it was cheap. I keep thinking theres another Red LD spell that does direct damage. I think Drain the Well or something? And then... I think theres another still from the Zendikar block. Just giving you some more options. :)
Ya drain the well is black/green. And I definitely like more options. That's why I'm going to put all my decks on here so I can get feedback. So keep it comin
Poison the Well, thats what I was thinking of.
Detritivore would make for a powerful creature in this deck. It's also a really cheap card (50 cents)
