This is a very powerful deck in a multitude of circumstances, and I implore you to observe the deck's strategies on your own weirdly enough because you might and probably will figure out some pretty cool strategies on your own that myself or other people might not be able to figure out. When you do, write them down in the comments!! Let other people know.
The less life you have the better.A fun combo is Rite of Consumption/Fling with Death's Shadow after using Spoils of the Vault.

Yep, been wanting, very much, to make a deck with Death's Shadow. All of the one copies of certain cards...hurts my head! Angel's Grace looks to rock in this deck. I am thinking about using stuff like Death's Shadow with Cruel Bargain/Ebonblade Reaper/Lurking Evil. What are your thoughts? If I splash Red...I could play something like. Havoc Festival. Mind checking out this mono red deck?http://www.mtgvault.com/jessie/decks/down-the-mountain/

Havoc Festival is fun, but requires me to have quick mana to get it out fast, it also gives my opponent a dead giveaway at most of the decks strategy once I play it. In addition, its only half your life a turn. I can't quite say much more on why, but it offsets the tempo. I did think about siding it thoughBtw, red is splashed in for simian, which can also act as a blocker if necessary. The deck is mainly black, with white to make sure you don't obliterate yourself. A twinkle of red for Pyroclasm and Wear // Tear. The reason for the one copies is to offer a little bit of mix-up into the strategy. Fling acts not only as a fourth Rite of Consumption, but it is an instant version, and can target creatures, despite the non-life gain downside. The plains and Swamp are there to have some basic lands with no downsides. City of Brass fetchlands, and shocklands are there to sap out your life little by little. Its kind of funny always shocking yourself and dealing as much damage as you can to yourself with lands keeping them untapped, that it keeps your opponent(s) on their toes about why you always need the mana untapped, slowing some decks down because they feel that you might be a BurnSap deck because you are running BRW. City of Brass is in there instead of Mana Confluence to make sure that if you are at 1 life, you can still tap it to reduce you to 0.
