Deck discussion for Type 2 Elf

I'm not really understanding the addition of white... not to mention the contagion clasps. If anything the white leyline is far superior. Also by the time you cast true conviction you should have won the game if all goes well. In general I would say a failing of my T2 elves is the lack of life gain but I'd rather run 60 cards any day over having to add eleven more just for some endurance. The Clasps were mostly for Proliferation of counters, and the True Convict was admittably a bit over kill. I have two that i just wanted to put somewhere.

Generally I find that Sylvan Rangers work a little better than Cultivate. 2cc for a 1/1 Elf that lets you fetch a basic land is always nice, also it ensures landfall which is great in combo with Groundswell. The more Warcallers you have the better, more than anything else I'd say this card wins games. If you're actually going to play this I'd highly reccomend more pump spells, take out the Fogs, and at least two Naturalizes.

yes fog, however much it appears to be useful, is not very useful at all and almost never played, naturalize is a little costy for its affect in my opinion

I liked Cultivate because it brought one to the field and one to hand for one more that than the Sylvan Ranger also works with Groundswell as well, and yeah the Fog's did seem like a good idea but now i realize Natualize is a better option. Also was considering the Groundswell idea, I like the "needz moar pump".

Damn just realized i had planned on putting a couple of Garruk's in here but looks like it didn't make it, but anyway thoughts on if it would work or not?

Garruk is always good, it gives you another Overrun option I wish I had him too. Sylvan Ranger gives you a creature to chump block with, enhance with a pump, stampede with, become a 3/3 or more with Warcaller, etc. I'd drop the forests down to 16 to 18, it frees up more space for other things and you'll be fine without the extra land. Primal Bellows is a great pump if you have it and Vines of Vastwood is highly reccomended too. Getting the deck to 60 cards always helps too.

I was thinking Primal Bellows and Vines but thier both Zendikar and it's out Feb. 4 when Beseiged releases and i wanted to keep it standard.

Garruk is always a good option, i'd drop the forest down to 20 and actually change 4 of them to fetchlands such as misty rainforest

Also I see what you mean about Sylvan Ranger, it is a lot more versitle.

Hey man what about adding 2 geniuse wave and 2 elixer of immortality take out 2 leyline's and 2 elf's for them will give u a nice finisher as early as turn 5 or 6 :)

Thought about it but the center of the deck is Joraga Warcaller and if I Genesis Wave into one sure i'm going get a ton of creatures on to the field but at the price of the bonus +1/1's of Warcaller.

Yer There is a risk of droping a warcaller with out getting a chance to kick it but if u put off playing the wave till u have a warcaller in hand the effect can be nice. I will play test it and let u know :)

For this kind of deck I find that speed is essential. I put one in my elf deck after I opened one from a pack and it's not terribly useful to a weenie deck. To get the proper bang for the buck, so to speak, Genesis Wave comes too late and fails to allow you a better top deck pull of an Overwhelming Stampede. At best you dump 6 to 10 and get a bunch of 1/1's or 2/2's, maybe your Ezuri if you're lucky. Genesis Wave would be awesome for beasts or even soldiers that could build off each other (especially with Battle Cry coming back to standard) but without Overrun or Stampede all those elves are generally useless.
