Deck Description

WELCOME BACK TO HYPER BUDGET!
Decided to challenge myself; Build only decks that remain below $15, contain no rares, CMC 3 or below, no SB and could be used at a FNM with moderate success.

To kick off this weeks decks we have a Selesnya Life Gain aggro/midrange deck; Early one drop threats with some great enchants. If you can get a Ordeal to go off, cast H.Reunion you could possibly drop a 19/19 for 4 mana; give that Wurm some Courage and you have yourself an old fashioned game winner.

**Notable Mentions**

Selesnya Charm: Great all around card, would be my first pick if I decide to change anything in the deck.
Soulmender: In the first build but I chose to go with Gladecover scout for a better chance of getting the Ordeal to go off. Does provide extra life gain to make Wurm bigger.
Experiment One: Great one drop in a lot of cases but I am already running 2 1/1's so I think he is a bit weaker here.

How to Play

Play your fast threats and buff accordingly, Try to get a big Wurm through massive life gain provided by Ordeal/Reunion.

I know right; I started building this deck just messing around. I had no intentions on this being my (G/W) Hyper Budget deck but once finished I realized that I had built a Hyper Budget unknowingly. I don't think I can build any other way than Hyper Budget!

For it's price, this deck is fine & is fun to play... ...the only thing I'd take out is Yoked Ox & replace it with Fleecemane Lion(you could use an indestructible creature with Unflinching Courage)...

The thing I don't like about this deck is you have only low cmc cards & yet you don't have draw-spells that alowes you to cast more of them, especially after a wipe... ...yet again, there really isn't any option for this deck to have draw in it, so the only thing you can do it add a couple of bigger threats that could be surprises after a Verdict, or something of the source... ...yet again, a Voracious Wurm with Hero's Reunion after a wipe could be nice, if you held it back for mid/late-game.......

Overall, I kinda' like this deck!..

Whatcha' think about this one?.. : http://www.mtgvault.com/poetmasterx/decks/firedrinker-loyalist/

This deck contains: no rares, no cards over 3 cmc. And it has to be under $15

I see... ...so you mean to race budget decks against each other... ...we've never done that, perhaps it would be fun trying out.......

we should have it where if you are making a white deck you should have the ox/kracken for blue.

Sway... I am brand new and my first deck was a green/white and all over the place... this helped me a ton... I tweaked it and added a few things to help keep me afloat hopefully long enough to attack hard... let me know what you think! http://www.mtgvault.com/rendamere/decks/aggressive-gw/

YOKED OX! Anyways, I love how you can throw Ordeal on Yoked Ox and most likely make your opponent raise an eyebrow, but then whenever you sacrifice it and gain the ten life, you can play Wurm as a 12/12. I like this deck, mostly how it revolves around the potential size of the wurm.

I think I would do this to the list:

-4 Yoked Ox
+4 Favored Hoplite

It does pretty much the same thing, but is less janky. Warrior's Lesson is also something I would really like to see in this deck, so that the engine can regain some steam.

Great suggestions, as much as I like the Ox I will probably do that an un buffed oz is useless and I hate when I run into that. I will be dropping the predator's rapport, and the swift justices, the warrior's lessons are going in as well as rootborn defenses to protect from wipe.

I think I go even further with this:

-4 Gladecovered Scout
-4 Unflinching Courage (Just too expensive)
-2 Rootborn Defenses
-1 Hero's Reunion

+4 Hopeful Eidolon
+4 Ethereal Armor
+3 God's Willing

The Eidolon replaces a substandard creature, and can double as a replacement for Unflinching Courage later in the game. With the Eidolon in play Ethereal Armor becomes really powerful allowing for sick life swings on turns two and three to fuel the wurms. It also prevents a blowout from removal.

Rootborn Defenses may just be too slow since you want to use most of your mana to play cards on your turn. I think you just have to submit to losing to a blowout Supreme Verdict and play God's Willing there instead. I think putting it in the sideboard would be the better bet.

Did you consider brindle boar? Sacrifice to gain a bunch of life. Did some great work for me in combination with voracious wurm in a draft ones.

I looked at him but felt Unflinching Courage was better in the 3 drop slot overall.

oh ok. the only other thing i thought of was maybe switching out the gladecover scout for another 1 drop. i know you have some nice enchanments in here, but i dont get the feel thats what the deck is really all about. Maybe Dryad militant, judge's familiar, suntail hawk or trained caracal?

Love it! I used this as a base build but tweaked it a bit. I replaced the Gladecover Scouts with Sedge Scorpion for the deathtouch threat/removal. I also replaced 2 of the Favored Hoplites with a set of Soldier of the Pantheon. Instead of 2 of the Warrior's Lesson, I am running 2 Savage Summoning. For 2 of the Ordeal of Heliod's I put in 2 Gift of Immortality to attach to Centaur Healer. I know the whole object of your decks are budget minded but I just wanted to share my variation of this fun deck!

Hey that's great! I love the fact that my simple little deck sparked your interest enough to build off of it, I'm flattered. Happy building!
